The actress, who currently resides in the United States of America, opened up about her miscarriage and what prompted her through a video on her Instagram page last Saturday, June 25. This was not the first time that Punzalan has broached the subject as she also spoke about it during an interview on CBN Asia's "The 700 Club Asia" last year.
I got pregnant when I was 15 years old. I had an abortion because I was afraid of my mother and because the guy didn't want to stand up for the baby," she recalled in her Instagram video. Punzalan shared how she got married at 19 and tried to get pregnant again but failed.
Said marriage "disintegrated" and Punzalan met her now-husband, Jay Field, with whom she also had an unfortunate pregnancy. The actress then broke down in tears as she revealed how it was a "long hard climb" before they finally found their adopted child. "We tried to get pregnant for ten years, I didn't get pregnant. We tried different ways to get pregnant, I didn't - that's why we adopted," she said.
