We also really enjoyed browsing the fantastic gift shop. They have lots of unique, great and reasonably priced gifts and souvenirs. They even offer free popcorn. The bathrooms are new and spotless. We didn't eat there but will try it next time. The people who work there are very friendly and helpful.
Definitely a great stop!! Located just off the highway, this shop sells everything from Huckleberry pies to pictures and the usual gift selections. I think there is even a small casino next to the store. There is also a large trout tank in the back.

Yard art is sold outside and this shop was very popular so parking is a bit of a challenge. Good stop overall. This store is full of Montana goodies. You will find something for everyone. And they serve free popcorn while you shop! Clean bathrooms and a wide variety of snacks and sitting feet.

The parking lot is a bit busy, but there is street parking. Trout tank The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great selection of treats and blueberry ice cream. A great way to break up a long journey! Tons of souvenirs to choose from - mostly the cheap Made in China variety, but also lots of authentic local products.
You must try the blueberry pie and pick up some local cherries when the roadside vendor appears. We stopped here for the blueberry smoothies and were not disappointed. It's probably a good thing I don't live nearby, or I'd get so fat eating them. The rest of the store is basically like any other tourist trap.

These blueberry smoothies are coveted by locals and tourists alike. This purple gold, which is a cousin of the blueberry, is attested by locals as sweeter and much tastier, there are treasures to be found. However, these fat and juicy delights must be worked for, as residents and visitors to the area's mountains roam the hills in search of a tasty bounty.

The season usually starts in mid-July and can often last until September. There are two very similar species in Mineral County, the blueberry (Vaccinium globulare) and the pomegranate (Vaccinium membranaceum). But the average picker won't know the difference, most pay more attention to the color of the berries. The redder the berry, the sharper, darker, purple, sweeter.

Jen Cheesman has worked at St. Regis Gift Shop for almost six years. She laughed, "I asked people for a cranberry smoothie at 6 o'clock." At this point, she's long since forgotten how many blueberry smoothies she's made, but she exclaimed, "I love making them. Customers always comment on how long they've seen the signs on the highway!"
