Seafood Gift Box - No complaints - we chose the seafood we wanted and told them how we wanted it cooked. No hassle, no problems. The food came quickly and was tasty. The only complaint was that the seafood was not alive. Can hardly blame them - this is rural Indonesia.

Seafood was packed on ice and still very fresh. Good food and a nice view of the beach. The food is not exactly traditional Aceh style, but still tasty. Don't expect luxury or atmosphere though, the place is pretty no frills. Banda Seafood was a nice experience.
You choose your seafood from ice boxes placed in front of the restaurant - check with your waiter for the type of preparation - they don't really have an "English menu" but you can describe what you want - fried, steamed, sauce etc all Asian based.
The two of us ordered enough for 4 and the bill was $30 - but you might as well try a variety - we had soft shell crab with black pepper sauce, traditional fried calamari, whole fish cooked in a chilli sauce and stir fried broccoli

with shrimp You choose the amount of seafood you want and they charge you by weight. Note: Most of the eating is in a covered, open great room - with large patio tables and spartan chairs, so it's very low-key - they have smaller air-conditioned rooms with fans where they can host private parties.

As with most restaurants in Banda Aceh, alcohol is not served. I will make it a point to go again! But understand this is a local experience for fine dining. It's a step up from a street food experience, but not a fine dining restaurant.
I have to admit that this is one of the biggest (and famous) seafood restaurants in Banda Aceh. The place is nice, the parking space is spacious. The food is good, I wouldn't say it's great as I expect there will be Aceh style fish dishes (or maybe I missed them when I placed orders) but hey I'm tasting my ayam first tangkap here, and
