Instacart cash gift cards cover expenses associated with your order, such as merchandise including alcohol and prescriptions, tips, taxes, service fees and delivery fees. Can be paired with Instacart credits or other promo codes on your account. Currently, it is not possible to place orders with gift cards from multiple retailers at once.

If you wish to use your gift card balance at another retailer, you will need to place a new order. If you purchased or received a gift card before November 18, 2020, you can redeem it through your Instacart account. However, this gift card does not include service and delivery charges, tips, taxes, prescriptions or alcoholic beverages.

You must include your credit or debit card at checkout to use a gift card, even if the gift card is loaded with the total purchase amount. Note: Instacart charges a fee for any items added to your gift card during shopping or after checkout.
If the total order after adding items exceeds the hold authority, the credit or debit card on file will be charged, even if you have enough funds on your gift card to cover the additional items. Additionally, if your order total after adding items exceeds the amount on your gift card, we will charge the difference to the credit or debit card you entered at checkout.
When processing an order, we will place a temporary authorization on the gift card for an amount greater than the estimated order amount. These minor differences result in potential changes to the final total due to special requests, added items, items at different prices, and actual item weight.
