Gift Of Hope Foundation - The Gift of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to low-income women diagnosed with breast cancer. I was thirty-nine years old, happily married, and a mother of two when my life changed forever. The lump in my left breast scared me, but knowing that my mammogram three months ago was normal, I stopped going to the doctor.

A few months later, and the lump was still there, I made an appointment with the doctor. He suspected a lump and advised me to do a biopsy. After a weekend of anxious waiting, I received the results and was diagnosed with breast cancer. After visiting my breast surgeon, he recommended a lumpectomy.
My surgery is scheduled for 2 weeks later. During my post-op examination, the pathologist's report stated that additional cancer cells were found in my breast. I thought chemotherapy and radiation would be enough to cure my cancer. But after a few weeks of living with the thought that I still had cancer cells in my breast, I made the difficult decision to have my breast removed.
I had a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery exactly one month after my lumpectomy; After six weeks of treatment, I started chemo. During chemotherapy, I felt so much love and support from family, friends, and my community. I felt the need to give something back to underprivileged women.

I felt the need to give something back to underprivileged women. That need turned into the Gift of Hope Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing financial assistance to underprivileged breast cancer patients in the state of Florida.
The Gift of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to women in need of treatment. We pay our electricity, gas, phone and grocery bills every month. Most women are forced to take time off from work during treatment; Some have little or no income.
Gift of Hope believes that no woman should have to worry about how her bills will be paid. They should just focus on getting better. Through donations and fundraising, we have been able to help many families throughout the state of Florida. As a breast cancer survivor, I know the importance of support.
I am lucky to have a community with their support. Now Gift of Hope is helping other women fighting breast cancer.
