For help using account funds without an account card, see our articles on making a payment or claiming medical reimbursement. All new member and registered spouse accounts should automatically receive cards in the mail via their welcome kits. If you have not yet received a card, please call HealthEquity Member Services at 866 346 5800. If you would like to order a replacement card for yourself or your dependents, visit the List of Cards page or access your Member Portal, then under the "My Account" tab, select "Manage Cards
and then "Request replacement card". .' Then follow the instructions to order your card. Note that the primary account holder's or spouse's account cards will work for anyone dependent on the account, so you don't need to order cards for minors. New or replacement cards may take up to 10 days to arrive.

Account cards must be activated before use. See our article on activating account cards for instructions. Cards must be used as 'credit' (the card may be declined if used as a debit card) and do not require a personal identification number (PIN). Once activated, use it like a regular credit card to pay for medical expenses that your plan allows (for HSA and FSA plans, see our Eligible Medical Expenses article).

HealthEquity does not currently offer temporary card deactivation or suspension.
