Check out my mom's tips on how to get the most out of your visit to the Gift of Light, as well as photos of our visit taken by my daughter (ahem, someone's got to take them). The Gift of Light invited us out and provided the tickets but I was not compensated for this post and as always all opinions are my own.
When we arrived the kids sat in the back of the truck for about 5 minutes! It was windy and about 40 degrees so we stopped to get back in the car! There are signs at the entrance reminding you to turn off the lights and turn the radio to a pre-selected station!
I love this Fort Worth cop show. The black panther represents Fort Worth's nickname, Panther City, and has been on FWPD badges since 1912. The original meaning was an insult to the city of Fort Worth, you can read more about how the city adopted the panther by clicking HERE.

We were also happy that our puppy Dublin came with us! He loved the lights as much as we did! It's so much fun and I get so much joy driving it! There are many other lights out there! Over 2 miles, the Gift of Lights has over 500 light displays!

There is a certain theme of water here! we love fish! The pictures are unreal, the waves are all around you and it's so amazing! Another really cool thing we saw at Gift of Lights were Jeeps covered in Christmas lights! I love this! I have already ordered some for my car!

Tons of funny pictures! I was delighted that our Dubliner was allowed to come to Santa's Village! My kids wanted to put on their pajamas because we would be getting home late. There is even a miniature train that takes you to the illuminated forest of Santa's Village!

Please note that Santa's Village will not be part of this year's event. Thanks for a GREAT time!!! We drove out of state and it was worth the drive!!! It has become a family tradition and every year is better than the last!!! Nice road with plenty of parking and easy access.

Too expensive to drive. Then we started driving. First impressions were so close to the road that it looked very uncomfortable. We only saw a frame with lights. As soon as we had the conditions, the performances were very close again. Now they are tied to concrete posts or to wooden posts.
