Declared a National Historic Landmark in 1998, this world-renowned lighthouse museum is conveniently located ten miles south of Daytona on the world's most famous beach and offers a wealth of experiences for young and old alike . Not to be missed, a visit to the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse is guaranteed to take your Florida vacation to new heights of adventure!

There are many ways to experience the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and Museum. Visitors can choose to explore the light station on their own using the self-guided tour map without reservation, choose to schedule a private tour prior to their arrival, or visit one of our special museum exhibits after hours.

Discover the many educational opportunities the museum offers for regular visitors and school groups, including upcoming special events, guided tours, onsite workshops, outreach programs and more! The Ponce de Leon Inlet Light Station is widely regarded as one of the most authentic and complete historic lighthouse facilities in the country.

This important site, declared a National Historic Landmark in 1998, has been managed and operated by the non-profit Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse Preservation Association since 1972. Unlike many 501(c)(3) organizations, the association is self-sustaining; Generates 100% of annual funding for ongoing operations, restoration, conservation and educational programs entirely in-house through admission and merchandise sales, private/corporate donations and annual membership dues.

The organizations currently receive zero tax-deductible support at the local, state or national level. Public funds may be sought if available. As with all of our facility structures (both modern and historic except the tower), the gift shop is wheelchair accessible. In addition to admission sales, the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse Gift Shop offers visitors a wide selection of lighthouse and ocean-themed gifts for all ages and price ranges.

Available products include T-shirts, books, home goods, educational games, toys, and more. Knowledgeable staff at the Gift Shop can handle a variety of non-commercial or admission transactions including memberships, donations and commemorative brick sales. Visitors who wish to purchase an item from the Gift Shop but are unable to pick it up may request that their purchase be shipped to an address of their choice for a nominal shipping and handling fee.

In addition to historic lighthouse tours, we proudly offer one of the most unique gift shops on Hilton Head Island, which houses the largest collection of lighthouses in America. Not only are we a lighthouse for tourists, we are a lighthouse for charity too! To thank the community that has supported us for so long, we donate a portion of the annual admission fee to various local charities.

Over the past 26 years, we have donated over $150,000 to various charities and we continue to raise money for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's! A century later in 1663, Captain William Hilton arrived on his ship, the Adventure, sailing out of the British territory of Barbados.
