from Veranda of the Mecca of Indonesia. At that time, Daily Voyagers had the opportunity to visit the Tsunami Museum, enjoy the underwater beauty of Pulau Weh, see the Baiturrahman Mosque which was built to resemble the Nabawi Mosque, enjoy Acehnese cuisine and much more.

Want to know what the Daily Voyagers did in Aceh? Following is Voyagers travel itinerary and daily budget to explore Aceh 4 days 3 nights: First Day: 1. Indrapata Fort 2. Inong Balee Beach 3. Snorkeling at Inong Balee Beach4. Lamreh5. My home 6. Mie Aceh The flight route we took at that time was CGK → KNO (traffic) → BTJ.

From BTJ Airport, we immediately went to "My Home" Inn. What travelers should know about staying in Aceh is that non-muhrim women and men may not stay in a room even if there is no ill intent between them. After leaving our things at My Home (because the check-in time is 14:00 WIB), we decided to have lunch at AW, which is not far from the guest house.

Budget & Travel Itinerary Exploring Aceh 4 Days 3 Nights

After we had our fill, we headed to our first destination, Indrapata Fort. Fort Indarapata is an area that contains fortifications of the Hindu kingdom in Aceh at that time. From one fort, we went to another fort. The next fort is Inong Balee. Inong Balee is a fortress for the war widows who at that time fought here against the Portuguese attack.

Actually the main target is not this fort but the beach behind this fort. The sea in front of Krueng Raya Beach is suitable for travelers who like to snorkel. This dive site is rich in sea cucumbers 🙂 Satisfied with getting wet, we “dry off” at Lamreh.

In Lamreh there is a white sandy beach overlooking the blue sea water with cliffs jutting into the sea. The drive to Lamreh is quite tiring because we have to walk far from the first parking lot (the parking lot is still far from the beach).

Only motorbikes or 4x4 cars can go through this steep dirt road to get directly to the car park near the bluff (the closest car park to the beach). After enjoying the beauty that Lamreh offers us, we decided to return to the City. Before going to the hostel, we headed to a restaurant that has a menu of Aceh "Ganja" noodles.

Travel Itinerary

Why did we choose this menu? it is said that after eating aceh "marijuana" noodles, the head will become "heavy" and the sleep will be pleasant. From this restaurant we immediately went to My Home to rest immediately because our heads were very heavy and the next day we had a long journey ahead of us.

Day Two: 1. Tank Wrecking 2. Eric's Greenhouse 3. 0 Kilometer Monument4. Ulee Lheue Harbor 5. Gapang Resort 6. Padang Spicy Octopus Satay7. From Sagoe Get up in the morning, get ready and head straight to the port of Ulee Lheue. Ulee Lheue Port is a port used to cross from Aceh to Sabang by boat.

2 types of boats are offered, namely fast boats and slow boats (ferries). Both will arrive in Sabang at almost the same time because the slow boats leave an hour earlier than the fast ones. We also chose the Slow boat because we could enjoy the scenery along the way from the open deck at the top.

Arriving at the port of Balohan, we went straight to the car we had rented earlier. What is exciting here, the car was placed in the parking lot with the key hanging. So we just have to take it right away. From Balohan we immediately stepped on the gas to Iboih where we rented accommodation, Eric's Greenhouse.

Second Day

The accommodation is cheap but not cheap, the location is directly in front of Iboih beach where the sea is an incredibly beautiful blue. After dropping off our belongings and setting up our diving gear, we stopped briefly at Kilometer 0 Monument, which is not far from our accommodation.

This monument is a sign that you are at the westernmost point of the Republic of Indonesia. If you pass by the Kilometer 0 Monument, don't forget to try the Aceh salad. what makes rujak aceh special is that it has rumbia fruits. Oh yes, on Friday, activities in Aceh will stop from 12:00 to 14:00 WIB.

This is because the people of Aceh must perform Friday prayers. Don't expect them to open positions at that time. After the Friday prayers, we immediately looked for a restaurant. The place we chose was Gapang Resort Restaurant because our snorkeling spot was right across the pier in front of this restaurant.

In fact, it is very bad to dive when your stomach is (too) full, it is better to have an empty stomach while diving than to have too much. In our opinion, the freediving site in Gapang is pretty cool because there is a WWII tank wreck here.

The Third Day

The location of the deposit is approximately 10 meters deep. Around the pier it was full of fish. What we regret about this beach is the absence of fresh coral around this place (maybe we haven't dived enough), there is only white sand which is the base where we "put" the shell of the tank.

Satisfied with playing in the water, we returned to the inn to wash off. The salt that sticks to the head has started to harden the hair. We also need to rest for a while because diving really wears out the endurance, especially the thighs and calves that get tight all of a sudden.

After resting, our next destination is the city of Sabang. Iboih - Sabang takes quite a long time, about 1 hour. However, for the sake of 2-3 servings of Octopus Sate we left very excited. Arriving at Sate Ajo, we immediately ordered Octopus Sate. Here you can choose whether to use spicy sauce (padang seasoning) or sweet sauce (peanut sauce) to overwhelm "The Octopus".

After eating the octopus meat, we closed with a cup of Acehnese coffee at De Sagoe, where the kids from Sabang hang out. It is not far from Sate Ajo. A cup of Aceh coffee is enough to open and open your eyes until you reach the inn.
