countless ways... from dinosaurs to dahlias. In 2014, Thanksgiving Point opened the Museum of Natural History, a 45,000-square-foot facility built for families to explore. Inside there are 400 interactive exhibits, including four galleries - Rainforest, Water Works, Kidopolis and Discovery Garden. The Museum of Natural Curiosity is a LEED certified building.

In its first year of existence, about 700,000 visitors visited the museum. The exhibits at the Thanksgiving Point Museum of Ancient Life include some of the longest dinosaurs ever discovered. In total, the huge dinosaur museum has over 50 standing dinosaurs and over 100 flying reptiles!

The museum also has 50 hands-on exhibits for families to enjoy and learn together. The Emporium is a 13,000 square foot gift shop with great gift ideas, located in Thanksgiving Point's Water Tower Plaza. The Harvest Restaurant serves delicious food with a variety of American cuisine fresh from the garden.

Next door to Harvest Food is Tower Deli with an old fashioned ice cream parlor and a variety of fresh sandwiches and salads. The heart of Thanksgiving Point is the beautiful fifty-five-acre landscaped gardens that began in the summer of 2000. Each area in the garden has its own identity, as do the rooms.

The private course is open to the public six days a week and takes two weeks in advance. Thanksgiving Point is open six days a week, year round. Closed on Sundays, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Hours are seasonal and vary by location.
