Uss Lexington Gift Shop
I bought my son a toy 9MM Auto Air Gun Set. It broke completely after just one hit. Be careful what you buy, the "Gift Shop" can become the "Grief Shop". Even if you are not a history or military buff, you should take the time to go to this exhibit.
Boarding the Lexington and moving the ladder up and down the ship gives you a true sense of what it's like to be on an aircraft carrier. They do a great job of showing life on board as well as letting you go through the exhibit at your own pace.
Even my 6 year old enjoyed it and said it was one of his favorite parts of our trip. It was also a great greeting to our military prisoners from the MUP and a great reminder to all of us that so many soldiers gave their lives for our freedom.

Defiantly stop here for a few hours, you will not be disappointed. There is even a 3D movie to watch at no extra charge. The USS Lexington is amazing. The city of Corpus Christi should be proud of the museum they built with this ship.

The price of the museum is low. I will be back without a doubt. It's hard to imagine how I can say so much and make it interesting. We planned for 1 1/2 hours but ended up staying over 3 hours. Volunteers are outside the ship answering questions.
We were there at a time when it was very quiet and we almost got off the boat. We learned a lot about life on a ship at sea. this old ship is a good way to see what it's like at sea. The volunteers have great stories, great insight into things and parts of Lexington.
The only thing is that it takes you a long time to reach the whole tour. Later we found out about the hard hat tour. It would be nice to have a tour guide on board. I want to come back to see more and read more post letters.

We toured the USS Lexington on January 29, 2015. It took us three hours, but you can do it in less time if you want. There are so many things to look at and articles to read. We really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone.
There are many stairs to go up and down if you want to see everything. There is a 3d movie to watch. They also have food there if you want. We thank the volunteers who were there to answer questions and provide information. It was a great morning to explore history.
