Bill Moyers Li-Young Lee was born in 1957 in Jakarta, Indonesia to Chinese parents. His father was Mao Zedong's personal physician while in China and moved the family to Indonesia where he helped found Gamaliel University.
In 1959, the Lee family fled the country to escape anti-Chinese sentiment, and after a five-year journey through Hong Kong, Macau and Japan, they settled in the United States in 1964. To get the piece of metal out of my hand, my father quietly recited a story.

Gerda makes and loses many friends and finds her true love. My life will make you laugh and cry. This book is best for ages 11 and up. All But My Life is a great change of page. I was interested in "Someone's Mother" by Joan Murray.
There are many conversations in this reading that describe this article, such as the words used in the reading. For example, the way Murray describes an old woman in a wheelchair, and when she turns around and as she goes up the hill, she's got "dark blue raincoat, black bra" (Murray, p. 163).
