Think neighbor gifts, Christmas cookies and holiday gifts. there's a box for every occasion! Each of these boxes only requires 1 to 2 pieces of 12 x 12 inch cardboard and is so quick to assemble.

Depending on what you fill your box with, you may want to use 80-100 lb paper, so you have a stiffer and stronger box. The paper requirements listed below apply to the original size of the files when you upload them to Design Space. You can of course adjust the dimensions of these boxes by increasing or decreasing the size in Cricut Design Space, you may just need to adjust the amount of paper you need.
Now select the part of the design that you want to be judged instead of the clip. Then select all parts of the design and group them together. Then "join" them together so that your Cricut machine treats each marked and cut section of the box as one piece.
The Cricut machine will prompt you to insert the scoring wheel or scoring pen first. When the grading part of the design is complete, the machine will stop and Design Space will prompt you to replace the grading tool with the fine point blade. You will then press the flashing light and the cutting part will begin.

Peel the carpet off the paper so you don't bend your paper. Continue this process until you have cut all the pieces of your box. Now that you've cut your cardboard, it's time to start assembling your gift box. I break down the steps below for each type of gift box.
Scroll down until you find the gift box you are making. Fold along all the note lines using a bone folder or a Cricut scraper to give you nice, crisp fold lines. Apply glue to the tabs. I like to use a tape runner for this step, but you can also use a bottle of glue.

Place your contents inside your box and fold the sides of the box and place the tabs in the holes. Use twine or ribbon to thread the holes and tie a bow. Fold along all the note lines using a bone folder or a Cricut scraper to give you nice, crisp fold lines.
Tie the box with twine or ribbon, or you can make and add a little paper charm with my free tutorial! Fold along all the note lines using a bone folder or a Cricut scraper to give you nice, crisp fold lines. Glue on mini pom poms or sequins to the tree if you like.
How To Assemble It:
For the larger size, glue all the side pieces to the bottom piece first, then continue following the instructions above. Fold along all the note lines using a bone folder or a Cricut scraper to give you nice, crisp fold lines. Place the contents of your box in the center of the box and fold in all sides and tabs.
Place the paper "ribbons" around the box and secure with glue. Create the paper bow by folding the ends of the bow piece towards the center to create two bow loops. Then place the loop piece over the tails and glue together. Cut two pieces of cellophane about half an inch longer and wider than your box window.
You can use a cellophane roll, acrylic sheets for a thicker option, or veil for a less transparent option. Whatever you have on hand works! PRO TIP: If you have cellophane bags lying around, just cut one in half and use it to cut the pieces of cellophane to cover your box windows.

I used some seasonal snowflakes! Use an adhesive roller to attach all four edges of the cellophane to the inside of the box. Use an adhesive roll to stick the two boxes together on the bottom. Insert the tabs on both sides through the two box openings on each side.
