He asks them both why they play on the box without using the TV, and they say they can do whatever they want with their imaginations. Squidward drags the TV into his house with SpongeBob's permission while the other two play a mountain climbing adventure on the box.
When Squidward gets annoyed by the two playing loudly, he kicks the box, causing an avalanche inside. He opens the box to see if the two are fine, but they are thinking about climbing the mountain. Squidward returns to his house and tries to find a box to do what Spongebob and Patrick are doing, but he can't find one big enough.
After kicking one of his boxes in frustration, he hears police sirens outside and at first thinks they are coming to arrest him for kicking his box, but the noise comes from SpongeBob and Patrick in their box. Still angry, Squidward kicks his little box into his yard and SpongeBob and Patrick pick it up.

He only watches TV to take his mind off Keti for all Keti-related shows, including a boxing match where two Keti fight. He gives up and then hears a sound like a space rocket taking off from the box, and he goes inside to find out, thinking the two are using a tape recorder to make all the sounds.
Noticing that they don't have a tape recorder, he enters the box and starts watching them play. However, inside the box, the only sounds are subtle and come from SpongeBob and Patrick, so Squidward returns to his house confused and hears many different voices. At night, when the two get out of the box and go to sleep, Squidward decides to go inside the box and look for the button he feels is making all the sounds, but he can't find it.
As he starts pretending to drive a race car, a garbage truck mistakenly (because the box is on the road) picks up the box and takes it to the dump; The sound of the garbage truck makes Squidward feel like he's driving a boat. It doesn't end well when the box is tossed on its side, with Squidward flying through the air and falling into a trash can, landing face first on a partially eaten piece of bread.
