Will it be fixed at some point? Southwest is currently working through a lot of issues caused by the new reservation system changes, so I think this one will go very low on the priority list - if they were (hard to believe) but they can't fix something as simple as this in the last 6 months).
Making Returns With A Gift Card

I would like to know why the site has not been updated? I called SWA 2 times about the problem but no one seemed to understand what I was saying and blamed it on the product I used. It's hard to believe the beauty that you had to think of this- and none of the SWA staff, twitter, customer service, programmers, or moderators here had any ideas.

Limited use, the inability to add money or combine measurements, and non-returns make it a risky and unattractive option.
