Another state lottery player also received his winning scratch ticket as a gift from a family member. John Vang's brother-in-law gave him the Power 10 scratch card for Christmas. The winning ticket was purchased at the Sunnyside Liquor & IPA Hub in Fresno, according to a press release.
Vang and his wife visited the Golden State during the holidays. Vang described his victory as "ironic" as he is not a regular scratch card player. “I never actually play Scratchers — that's the fun of it,” Vang said. "I play Powerball and Mega Millions, but not Scratchers."
