Geometric from the 50s, daisies from the 60s, wild colors from the 70s. I could not pass them up. I think it was when I filled the entire drawer with 2 shopping bags that I knew I could put it to better use...it came in handy, gift wrapping!

There is no paper or tape involved, so it can be recycled in a smart green way. I can choose a scarf that matches the inside of the gift or the recipient's choice of color. I can share my thoughts with friends. And best of all, I get to keep buying them.

Hooray, everyone wins! It's easy and doesn't require a step-by-step guide. But I'll list a few simple tips for you... Tip One: Start scarf shopping! Like I said, thrift stores always have low prices. This is another tool that hasn't really been popular for a while.

when people start arguing about how awesome it is, you can proudly shout "I did it!" It's wonderful! What a wonderful way to wrap a gift! Oh, now I have an excuse to wear glasses I saw at the thrift store! What a great idea!

I love a good reason to start a new collection. Thank you. OMG, why didn't I think of this before? If you ask someone if I give a gift, I'm talking about presentation, so wrapping a scarf around the gift is all I need to do now.

Katie, I'm with you, give back the scarf! In your wallet, or on your head, around your neck - anywhere! I love this idea! Seriously, I never thought of using scarves to wrap presents! I'll definitely try it one day I love wraps and bows and ribbons, but I always feel guilty about waste, not to mention pretty paper and accessories can be expensive.
