When you use your RedCard Reloadable Account, Target Debit Card, Target Credit Card or Target™ Mastercard® (each a "RedCard™") at Target stores or on Target.com, you will receive 5% off your purchase. If you use your RedCard with another payment method in the same purchase transaction, the 5% discount will only be applied to the purchase amount credited to your RedCard.
5% off applies to qualifying purchases minus any other discounts and the value of any promotional Target gift cards received in the transaction. Target reserves the right to terminate or change these program terms at any time. When you use a RedCard Reloadable Account, Target Debit Card, Target Credit Card or Target™ Mastercard® (each a "RedCard™") to make a purchase at a Target store or on Target.com, you will have an additional 30 days to return an item over and above.

In these program rules, the following words are defined: When you use your RedCard™ to make eligible purchases, you will receive a Target GiftCard bonus as follows: 2% Target GiftCard bonus. For every qualifying purchase you make in the Gas or Food merchant category, you'll receive a 2% bonus on your qualifying purchase.
Gas and Food Merchant Category: Each merchant is assigned a Merchant Category Code (MCC), which is determined by the type of product or service that the merchant primarily offers. Gasoline dealers have an MCC of 5541 or 5542 and are dealers that primarily sell motor gasoline.

Dealers that do not exclusively sell gasoline for motor vehicles, such as truck stops and marinas, are not qualified gasoline dealers. Food retailers earn an MCC of 5812, 5813, or 5814, which are dine-in restaurants, including fast food restaurants. Businesses that sell food and beverages in large venues such as theme parks, casinos, and stadiums are not eligible food merchants.
Something For Everyone
Individual merchants and their credit card processors are responsible for allocating MCCs based on the products and services sold by the merchants, and we have no control over the MCCs allocated to merchants. Purchases made at merchants that do not use one of these MCCs to process transactions are only eligible for the 1% reward.
We are not responsible if you believe a purchase should be classified as a gas or meal purchase and it is not. 1% bonus on Target GiftCards. For every qualifying purchase you make at merchants that aren't in the gas or food categories, you'll earn a reward at the rate of 1% of your qualifying purchase.
You also don't get a 1% bonus when you shop at Target or Target.com, but the 5% RedCard rebate program does apply to those purchases.
