Of course, there are rules to this system. The content of each gift is random, but the total content is the same. You can get 2 Berries and 5 Big Orbs, or you can get a 7km Alolan Egg and a single Max Revive. Opening a gift is like spinning a disc at a Poké Stop, once the package is opened the item is added to your inventory, but you have no control over its contents.
As long as you are near a Poké Stop, you can get gifts to share with friends! Prizes are now one of the random items you can get from spinning discs at Poké Stops, just like Potions or Poké Balls or Eggs. You're not guaranteed to get one every time like the first free Raid Pass of the day, but if you have a few Poké Stops near you, there's a good chance you'll get two prizes throughout the day.
Know where the gift came from, and take that information with the person you're sending it to. In addition to the actual prize, the recipient will receive a postcard from the Poké Stop where you collected the prize. This allows you to share parts of your trip with people who have never been to the places you've been, which is a little extra to the gift itself!

You'll see a "Gift Sent" bubble appear in the middle of the screen to confirm it's been sent and when your friend opens the gift, you'll both be notified of your friendship level change if it's the first gift sent.
that day If you have a gift waiting to be opened, you'll get a notification when you open the Pokémon Go app. If you missed the notification, here's what you do: and that's it! You can open the gift as soon as you receive it, and it should not affect the contents of the gift.

Although it looks like receiving gifts from Pokéstops is limited to 100 per day, I confirm that there is no daily limit. I contacted the Niantic support team and below is the response I received earlier today. There is no limit to the number of gifts you can receive from Pokéstops per day.
However, you can only open 20 gifts per day. Keep playing Pokémon GO and I'll be happy to help if there's anything else. To subscribe to this RSS feed, copy and paste this URL into your RSS reader. Website Design / Logo © 2023 Stack Exchange Inc;
