This is terrible customer service. I have been a loyal customer of Pier 1 for over 10 years and this is the treatment I have received. This is not fair! Allow me to use my gift card or give money for my gift card. How can you not honor gift cards when stores are closed from March and reopen in May/June?

We are in the midst of a pandemic and they are not sure. The last problem we had was that Pier 1 did not honor gift cards purchased from their store. I can't afford to lose over $50 to some ridiculous store policy.. refund my funds or let me use my gift card right away!
A table, chairs and bench were purchased the week of 08/20/20. I spent over $1200.00 dollars. Upon opening the box I was told that if there was any damage to the chairs or table I could replace them. When we found a big crack in the seats, we took it in to exchange as promised.

Three women at the greenfield store started yelling at me and told me they wouldn't take it back even though it was broken. I was told that this is a law under the Consumer Protection Act and if the seat is damaged it must be replaced.
One of the waitresses a chubby brown haired girl started yelling at me. He took the new seat from my hands, tapped me on the shoulder, and yelled that I was "[censored]" and that I better not try to get the new seat. These three women shouted at me and my husband.
They say they will take the broken chair and leave and never come back. This was the worst experience I have ever had in my life. I have never been spoken to like this in my life. I'm shaking. Who treats customers like this? Or anyone for that matter.

I spent $1200.00 dollars, what should I do with the broken chair in my dining room? Who are these monsters? Why would you intentionally be mean to someone? They are embarrassing. The girls are known for mistreating customers. Buyers beware out there. Those women are cruel, disrespectful and nasty.
