Since our nephew had just graduated from the Navy training program, we found it very useful. We went through the submarine, the ship and the carrier. It took about three hours and was an "experience" to say the least. Very interesting to see what life was like

on a ship in the early 1940's and up to today. To appreciate what people have gone through. I put in an 'educational leave request' to bring my 9 year old daughter here for a day and it was worth it! How many things learned, gained a new respect for our country's military history and those who gave their all for its freedom, all in good fun!! A must see/experience for this age group! If you love history, you must see this place. We saw
see all three exhibitions; it was so nice to walk and move freely around the ships and the submarine. But bring water! It's so hot! There is so much to see here that you need all day. We got to see a submarine and the USS Yorktown and experience Vietnam, but we ended the day with a tour of a destroyer.
Of course I have to understand all day. There is so much history to see. And just walking around on a ship that size was amazing. We had a great time visiting all 3! I'm a bit claustrophobic and have also run around the submarine.
I'd say they go when it's cooler as it can get pretty humid in areas where they can't get good air flow. There are also many ladder-like scales to consider. Definitely come back again when it's nicer to explore more. This is the version of our website intended for English speakers in the United States.
