Here's a look at the finished model, which is also quite large, measuring 13cm (5") high, 11cm (4") wide and 9cm (3") deep. This model attractive and has a flower pot with a white rabbit floating on the flowers and makes a great Easter themed decoration. The Easter Bunny is small, but has some nice features like the circle
pink cheeks, and paws using semi-circular tiles that look like they're just hanging off the edge of the pot. The ears move, and the bunny's head spins on the turntable, giving you a lot of options posing it. Here's a stop-motion look at the different possible moves with the bunny. And in the middle of the flower stalks, you can see the bunny's bushy tail sticking out. From
on the back, the dense leaves look beautiful, with small flowers inside. The flowers are simple, but at this scale, they look beautiful and have a nice contrast between the classic flower of Lego and leaf pieces as well as brick buds. Buds are also seasonal because they look like spring flowers that are about to bloom.
The vase is also surprisingly fun to make. It is perfectly smooth around, a pale yellow and light blue band across the pot, and a blue band in front. Do not underestimate the construction because the construction of the vase involves advanced techniques to create the octagonal shape and core, which is not something you expect from a bargain gift purchase.

I am very impressed with the 40587 Easter Basket and consider it an excellent LEGO Easter gift purchase and perhaps one of the best. The low purchase threshold means you don't have to spend a lot on LEGO.com to qualify, and despite the US $70 threshold, you get a substantial 368-piece model.
The model itself is fun, with some deceptively advanced construction techniques used in the vase, and the end result covers everything from animal construction to flower arrangements. It looks like a cuter, more kid-friendly version of the LEGO Botanic set, and since it has its own adorable vase, it's easy to look at with other spring or botanical themed LEGO sets.
There's a lot to like about the 40587 Easter basket, and since the redemption period runs until April, if you've got LEGO Indiana Jones, Guardians of the Galaxy 3 or Disney's Home on your wishlist, you'll be able to qualify quickly. There may be conditions to receive it.
