Learn how to make a wrapping paper gift bag with this easy tutorial. It only takes a few simple steps and is the PERFECT solution for oddly shaped items! I wish I could take credit for this idea, but I saw a video on Facebook around Christmas that I believe was posted by The Today Show (or some other morning show) showing how to turn wrapping paper into a paper bag for your gift.

If you prefer written step-by-step instructions, I've included those too :) 1) Roll out a wrapping paper on a flat surface and place the oddly shaped object you want to wrap on it.
Make sure you use enough paper to cover the object. Cut the wrapping paper to the desired size. 2) Place the paper face down on the table. Fold the right and left sides until they meet in the middle and partially overlap. Glue the seam.
3) Fold up the bottom of the wrapping paper to make the bottom of the bag. 4) This is the hardest step of making a gift bag, but I promise it's easy once you do it! Separate two pieces of wrapping paper and align the corners to create a diamond shape.

5) Fold the top and bottom corners to the inside of the diamond and make creases. Glue the triangle tabs in place. 6) Open the bag. Then fold the top flap of the bag back. Punch a hole in the top of the bag for the ribbon of your choice.

8) Attach the gift tag, thread on the ribbon, tie and tie a bow, and you're done! You can use tissue paper to fill in if you need to. Now you know how to make a gift bag from wrapping paper! How cute are these DIY gift bags?
