How To Tie Gift Bag
The bag should be two or three times the size of the gift. For best results, always try to use fresh, new tissue paper. If the bag is deep, place used tissue paper in the bottom of the bag to act as padding or padding under the gift.

Look at the gift you want to wrap and estimate the size of the bag you need. You can do this by drawing a rectangle around the gift on a piece of paper and then measuring the length of the gift. Stack the books until the side of the book stack is the size of the rectangle you drew or larger.
If your gift is large, you may need to stack two or more books side by side. This pile of books will be used as a form to make a bag. You can also use a box or stack of boxes as a form. Cut a sheet of wrapping paper that will be used to make the bag.
What Can I Make From Leather?
In one direction, the paper bag should be the desired length and 3/4 of the depth of the bag, plus 1 inch (2 cm). In other words, the paper dimensions should be the length of the bag plus enough paper to fold over the top of the stack of books, plus 1 inch.
In the other direction, the paper should be wrapped around the stack of books with an extra 1/2 inch (1 cm) to overlap. Place the wrapping paper right side down. Fold back 1 inch (2 cm) along the top edge, crimp and pin in place.
With the wrapping paper right side down, place the stack of books so that the center is close to the bottom edge of the paper. Make sure the stack sits about 3/4 of its height above the bottom edge. Wrap the paper around the pile and seal the seam with glue or tape.

Make sure the top edge is in line with the seam. Be careful not to pack too much or it will be difficult to get the stack of books out of the bag. Make the base of the bag by folding the paper over one end of the stack of books like you would pack a box.
