From BTJ Airport, we immediately headed to "My Home" Inn. What travelers need to know about accommodation in Aceh is that women and men who are not muhrim cannot stay in the same room, even if there is no ill intent between them. After leaving our things at my home (since check-in time is 14:00 WIB), we decided to have lunch at AW which is not far from the inn.
Satisfied, we proceeded to our first destination, the Indrapata Fort. Fort Indarpata is one of the forts of the Hindu Empire in Aceh at the time. From one fort we went to another. The next fort is Inong Bali. Inong Baili was a stronghold for the war widows who fought here against the Portuguese invasion at that time.
Actually the main objective is not this fort but the beach behind this fort. The sea in front of Krueng Raya Beach is perfect for tourists who love freediving. This dive site is rich in sea cucumbers 🙂 Satisfied with getting wet, we “dried” ourselves in Lamareh.
Travel Itinerary
Lamreh has a white sand beach, with a view of blue sea water and cliffs jutting out into the sea. The trip to Lamareh was a bit tiring as we first had to walk a long way from the parking lot (the parking lot is far from the beach).
Only motorbikes or 4WD vehicles can drive up this steep dirt road to get to the parking lot near the cliff (closest parking lot to the beach). After enjoying the beauty of Lamareh's offerings, we decided to return to the city. Before going to the inn we went to a restaurant that had an Aceh "Ganja" noodle menu.

Why did we choose that menu? It is said that eating Aceh "ganjo" noodles will make the head "heavier" and sleep better. From this restaurant we immediately went to my home to rest as our head was really heavy and a long journey was waiting for us the next day.
Day Two: 1. Tank Destruction 2. Greenhouse by Eric 3. Monument 0 Kilometer4. Ulee Lheue Harbor 5. Gapang Resort6. Padang Spicy Octopus Satay7. De Sagoe Get up in the morning, get ready and let's go straight to Uli Leu Harbour. Uli Lehue Harbor is a port used by boats to travel from Aceh to Sabang.
Second Day
There are 2 types of boats offered, namely fast boats and slow boats (ferries). Both arrive at Sabang almost at the same time because the slow boat leaves an hour earlier than the fast boat. We also chose a slow boat because we could enjoy the view en route from the open deck at the very top.
Arriving at Balohan port we went directly to the first rented car. Funny thing is, the car is parked in the parking lot and the key is hanging. So we have to get it right away. From Balohan we immediately went to Iboih on gas, where we rented Eric's greenhouse.
The accommodation is cheap but not cheap, the location is directly in front of Iboih beach, where the sea is incredibly blue. After unloading our gear and preparing our diving equipment, we stopped for a while at the 0 kilometer monument which is not far from where we are staying.

This monument is a sign that you are in the westernmost part of the Republic of Indonesia. If you stop at the 0 kilometer monument, don't forget to try the Aceh salad. The unique thing about Rujak Aceh is that it contains rumbia fruit. Oh yes, on Friday, activities are paralyzed in Aceh from 12:00-14:00 WIB.
The Third Day
This is because people in Aceh must offer Friday prayers. Don't expect any stalls to open at that time. After Friday prayers we immediately searched for a restaurant. The location we chose is Gapang Resort Restaurant because our freediving spot is right in front of the pier in front of this restaurant.
In fact it is really wrong to dive when the stomach is (very) full, it is better to have an empty stomach while diving. The freediving spot in Gapang is pretty cool in our opinion because there is a World War II tank wreck. The location of the tank is about 10 meters deep.
The pier was full of fishes. What we regret about this beach is the lack of fresh coral around the area (maybe we didn't dive enough), there is only white sand which is the base where the tank carcass is lying. After enjoying playing in the water, we returned to the inn to rinse off.
The salt stuck to the head started to harden the hair. We also need to rest for a while because diving really drains the stamina, especially the thighs and legs which get tense all of a sudden. After resting, our next destination is Sabang City.
