The caster contacts a willing creature and grants them increased reaction time for the next eight hours. Mechanically, Gift of Alacrity gives the target a 1d8 bonus to initiative rolls for its duration.[1][2] Access to this page has been denied because we believe you are using automated tools to browse the website.

RPGBOT uses the color coding scheme common among Pathfinder construction manuals, which is easy to understand and easy to read at a glance.

We will not include 3rd party content, including content from DMs Guild, and manuals for official content as we cannot assume that your game will allow 3rd party or homebrew content. We also won't cover Unearthed Arcana content because it hasn't been finalized, and we can't guarantee that it will be available to you and your players.

Explorer's Guide to Wildemount introduced "Dunamancy", a new set of spells mostly exclusive to the two new wizard subclasses introduced in the same book.

Explorer's Guide to Wildemount includes a sidebar on how to make dunamancy spells available to non-Dunmancers (called "Dunamancy for Non-Dunamanacers") which states that the Dungeon Master allows other spellcasters to learn these spells. The sidebar makes no distinction between classes, so in theory any spellcasting class can access these spells with permission from the DM.

However, I can't assume your DM will be that permissive, so I'm going to assume these spells are limited to two very specific spell subclasses. Optional spells are marked below with (Optional) after the spell name. These spells are considered optional rules, as described in Tasha's Everything Potion.

Consult your DM before deciding to use this spell. Some of the spells below are labeled as "Chronurgy" or "Graviturgy". Although the Conurgy Magic and Graviturgy Magic subclasses correspond to those two categories, nothing in the text of the rules further restricts dunaming spells to magicians of either subclass.

The categorization seems to be thematic rather than mechanical, so your Chronurgy Magic Wizard is free to learn and cast Graviturgy spells. It's easy to compare this to Chill Touch since they both do necrotic damage, but Toll the Dead is a better comparison. Toll the Dead has double the range, does d8 or d12 damage (double or triple damage by comparison), and focuses on less consistently high wisdom saves, so you damage targets more consistently.

The spell isn't a bad concept, it's just unreliable and when it works it's ineffective. As a quick fix, try a combination to increase the damage to d6s, extending the range to 50 or 60 ft. Oddly, you can cast this at a higher level to affect additional creatures unrelated to the attack or casting the spell.

It's great that you can do it, but it feels weird that you can do it as a reaction. The dissolution mechanic is weird. If a creature is at 0 hit points or already dead, they are good. Unprotected, inanimate objects are good too. But creatures that drop to 0 from the spell are dust, along with anything they carry that isn't magical.

Spellcasting Feats" is not an official term. I use the term to loosely group a set of feats that allow characters to learn and cast spells beyond what their racial traits and class traits provide. These feats often work in place of multiple classes, allowing you to add powerful magical abilities to your character without sacrificing class progression.

But the feats are complicated. Choosing the right feat and the right spell can be a hugely impactful decision for your character, and it's hard to think of the wide range of options available, especially as Wizards of the Coast publishes more and more rules additions.

a slowly growing mountain of spells pick one. . When choosing a spell, consider how it fits with the rest of your build. Combat characters with little or no spells often do well with periods of concentration because their concentration is not normally used. The same characters will probably like spells with long lasting effects, so long durations are good.

In contrast, characters who already have spells will benefit most from spells outside of their own spell list that are good enough to justify spending a spell to cast them, especially if it helping to renew them. Most of the spelling features specify that you are "learning" the complex spelling involved. Just as you learned the spell from another source, such as your class, you can spend spell slots to cast the spell.
