Francis encouraged the guests to visit the patients during their stay in the hospital. To maintain quality patient care and improve the safety of patients, guests and staff, the following visiting hours are in place: Normal office hours are 6:30am to 9:00pm every day of the week, including holidays.
Patients must identify (1) a sponsor at admission. Sponsors will be allowed to stay with patients after regular visiting hours. After 21:00, all visitors who have not identified a patient as their sponsor leave the hospital for the night. If the patient assistant needs to leave the hospital at night, they will notify the nurse on the patient's floor and then leave the security system in the emergency room lobby.

On their return, they will enter the hospital through the reception area and go through security. Entered the hospital after 9 o'clock. it is only through registration of the emergency department and the security desk. A temporary exemption allowing more than a patient assistant to visit a patient at 9:00 p.m.
Must be prearranged with the nurse manager. These exceptions are allowed for end-of-life situations. Although there are exceptions, additional visitors other than the patient's care partner cannot stay overnight in the hospital. At 9:00 a.m., patients in the hospital must go to the emergency department lobby and check in with security to receive a visitor badge.
The Switch will post the above at 9 p.m. You must be logged in to determine. Depending on the patient's health, visiting time in the special department may be limited during the day. Special departments should set their own visiting hours depending on the needs of the patient and the department.

The number of visitors allowed during the day is determined by the special unit. Special Service Departments must inform Visitors of their unique restrictions, other than those set forth in this Policy. Bon Secours Health System St. Francis reserves the right to ask visitors to leave the hospital if the safety, security of patients or hospital staff is at risk.
Saint Francis Hospital
Hospitals may change visiting privileges and hours under this policy due to public health emergencies or as a result of natural or man-made disasters. Nursing and/or security, depending on the needs of the patient or the safety of the hospital, must limit the number of visitors to the patient at any time.
As a guideline, no more than four (4) visitors should be in a patient's room during a routine visit. In end-of-life cases, more than four (4) visitors who may be in the patient's room must wait in the hospital lobby. Children aged 16 and over must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The nurse will consult with all visitors who bring children to the hospital about special safety requirements or requirements necessary for the child's safety before allowing the child to enter the patient's room. It is forbidden to leave children alone in the hospital. Outpatient procedures and operations are performed during the day and evening.
Only one (1) assistant is allowed in the hospital while a patient is undergoing a procedure or surgery. Fans must wait in designated corridors unless cleared by a nurse to enter the pre-recovery or recovery area. In accordance with CDC guidelines, masks are recommended but not required in our facilities.
