I always want my gifts to be thoughtful and personal to the recipient. Believe it or not, there are people who don't like junky, rusty, metal, vintage, thrifty stuff like you and me. So today I wanted to share how I made inexpensive gift baskets and fun candy recipes with Dollar Tree Stuff.
I have designed three gift baskets with different themes. One of the gift baskets is for a nursing home resident, one is for the creative crafter, and one of the gift baskets is a treat for anyone who loves pedicures. I don't know about you, but I have such a thing as a gift basket.
I love it when I receive a gift basket. It's fun to find the treats inside. When you look at these ideas, think about the next gift you'll be giving and how to personalize the basket for the recipient. Keep in mind that these baskets are for ideas only.

You can customize gift baskets for your child's teacher, neighbor, postman (or lady), grandchildren, etc. The Dollar Tree is full of cute things and practical items that will easily make your gift basket unique. The first thing you need to assemble a basket is…..a basket…any kind.

Or you can put your stuff in a bag. You can find lots of cool bags, even large gift bags. Keep in mind what you can put in the basket and choose the right size. Another idea could be to collect all the items you want to put in the basket and then select the basket.
There are many things that can be used as a "basket". any ideas; Flower pots, metal buckets, dish drainers, baskets (!), large plastic bowls, shopping bags, children's sand buckets, gift bags, Chinese take-out containers, etc. Be creative. This is a basket for a nursing home resident.
I chose a large pink plastic basket with a handle. You can store a lot of things in smaller containers, like bath supplies, snacks, and photos, so a basket will come in handy. I gathered some snacks, lotion, hand cream, nail polish, room deodorant, a walking stick, an infinity scarf, a wall hanger (thanks for having me), a handheld mirror with pocket mirror, and Leia just for fun!

The total cost of this gift basket was $13 plus tax. I put everything in a basket and organize and rearrange. I was not happy. Because the basket was deep, everything was placed on the bottom of the basket. I found some wrapping paper at the store and put it in the bottom of the basket.
You can also use shredded paper. I don't know what to call it, but you need something to tie the gift basket together. Use linen napkins, scarves, shop towels, wash cloths, etc. to cover the bottom and sides of the basket. It adds tenderness and a kind of gift—a hug.

I put the infinity scarf on top of the paper. Isn't it a beautiful creation?? I'm always amazed by the things I find at Dollar Tree. (This is not a sponsored post) Start with the largest items and tilt them to one side of the basket or stack them at the bottom.

I get pedicures done from time to time. How are you? In this case, I used Leia to soften the look of the gift basket. Invoiced items should always be added to the basket. For this gift basket, I chose a turquoise green colored catchall.

Reading…. We met a lot of people at the retirement home and I really wanted to get them something for Christmas. We made treat-filled coffee mugs (see here) for the whole staff a few years back and they were a huge hit. At least let them know that we appreciate them.
Went to Dollar Tree last week to see what they had. I didn't have any gift plans, so when I saw these ring holders, that was it. The white plates with golden llamas, unicorns, whale tails and dinosaurs were very beautiful. I could only see them being filled with candy.
