The diaper bin closes quickly to keep the odor inside. I think there could be some improvement in the smell. As soon as you open it you find all the smelly diapers in there and the room stinks for a while. I love how easy it is to change the plastic liner.
However, buying some liner every two weeks is very expensive. I also wish it could fit more diapers. [This review is included as part of a promotion.] The Diaper Genie Complete Diaper Bucket has a simple design that makes it easy to understand how it works and use it a few times.
That said, I couldn't find a diaper tub that I liked 100%, but this diaper tub is high on my list compared to others. I have a 10 month old and a 2.5 year old and they both have very smelly diapers. As for the design, it looks good and is very simple, which makes it easy to move around the house if needed in different rooms or floors.
Fresh Smelling
One of the biggest advantages of this bin over other bins is that you don't have to stick your hand into the bin to get the diaper inside. However, there were a few times when I had to open and close the lid at least twice to put diapers in the bag.
It was my first time cutting and replacing a bag, so I was a little confused at first, but once I got it, it was great! I really like the continuous bag filling system and it's very smart. Most of the time I thought the bucket would hold the smell well, but every time I opened or closed the bucket it smelled.

Also, after the bag was cut to replace the clean bag, the smell of the last bag lingered in the bucket and in the house. There were times when the contents of the front bag smelled and the diaper drawer needed to be aired out.

The foot pedal is perfect and saved my hands from getting even more dirty. However, you have to push the diaper a little to fully load it. Antibacterial refills help a little to control odor. Filling the diaper bottle was very easy to change. The built-in cutter is very convenient.

The opening is great, you don't need to wrap everything tightly when it's open, and the dirty nappies slide down as long as the bucket isn't full, so you don't need to push it. The length is comfortable to reach when I'm on the changing table, so I don't have to bend unnaturally.
One Year Supply
I feel like the liner and carbon filter that comes with the bucket do a good job of stopping the smell. The only trick is getting the diaper bag out of the bin without feeling like you're wasting an extra liner. It seems to get better the more I use it, but it takes time.

This bucket is functional and aesthetically pleasing in my nursery. I like that the foot pedal is easy, especially when I'm carrying a baby on my hip. The Diaper Fairy masked almost all odors. The only thing I can think of that is wrong with this product is that I find that you waste a lot of bags when you try to use it on the included cutter.
