Diablo 3 Holiday Gift
Christmas presents have been stolen throughout the Diablo 3 realm by the Treasure Goblins and Greater Rift Guardians that we must recover. Larger Rift Guardians have a much higher chance of leaving than goblins. Here's what you get from any redeemed holiday gifts: Developer Note: If a player owns any of the pets or shields from the list above, they won't get a copy of them from any gifts
which was recovered. Otherwise, enjoy your lumps of coal! The first good news is that any elf can drop off a Christmas present, including those inside a dungeon spawned by a puzzle. This is our best chance of finding them before too long. Note that only Greater Rift Guardians can drop a Christmas Gift, meaning you won't get one from the bosses in T16 Key Farming.
In our results, difficulty (normal to Torment 16) and Greater Rift levels had no effect on the number of holiday gifts dropped. Finally, the drops can occur in any version of the game: seasonal, non-seasonal, hardcore or Softcore. While we're not 100% sure of the drop rates, after 60 runs of each we have our best guesses: Goblin Drop Chance: ~6.7% or 1 in 15. Increased drop chance of Rift defenders

~50% or 1 in 2 . Then comes the real question: when Christmas gift drops, what are the chances to get Pets, Wings & Transmogs? We can safely say that the transmogs are the most common, followed by the pets, with the rarest being the 2 wings.

Taking a wild guess at the drop rates looks like this: Transmogs: ~10% or 1 in 10.Pets: ~5% or ~1 in 20.Wings: ~.1% or 1 in 1,000. Note: As of this writing, I have opened 139 holiday gifts and received about 14 transmogs, 7 pets, and 0 wings.
Some lucky players reported receiving Cosmic Wings within their first 10 holiday gifts! Now that we know how holiday gifts fall, we can develop a few strategies to increase our profits: Player gifts appear in the last evil version of Diablo III. They are passed between players using the game's mail system, and rarely contain loot.[1]
This is the best way to get holiday gifts, especially in seasonal games. Gather your friends (and all the Level 70 Riddle Rings you can find) and consecrate them using Angelic Crucibles. These will open an ancient vault with many goblins to kill. Depending on the concentration, you should leave with approx.
Holiday Gift Drop Rates & Loot Chances
1.5 holiday gifts per person per run. Some have reported receiving up to 6 gifts in one go! Note: You don't have to kill greed because she can't give up a Christmas present; just a new game after goblins are dead! You might be wondering why we don't tell you to farm level 1?
They are just as easy to eliminate, but for some reason the Greater Rift Obelisk won't remember your previous choice if you choose GR 1. Choosing GR 2 solves this problem and lead to very easy evictions. Use any build with insane transfer speed, like those on our T16 Series List.

Focus on clearances under 60 seconds to maximize holiday gift drop rate. The downsides to this strategy are that it eats up your keys quickly and you won't get any meaningful XP or items from it. Last but not least, we have the old reliable way to farm everything else in the game: effectively farming higher Greater Rifts.
This will focus on 1.5-3 minute runs depending on your preference, but will also give you massive XP, items and blood pieces. Remember that every Puzzle Ring you play or find can be used in the best strategy at the top, so the value here is very high.
