Posted by Zacks Equity Research for Zaks -> CVS Health Corporation's CVS division, CVS Pharmacy, recently announced new changes related to its ExtraCare Rewards loyalty program. The loyalty program now offers members 2% back in ExtraBucks rewards, credited immediately after every transaction since July. The main benefit of the plan was 2% up front paid quarterly for 20 years.
The loyalty program also now has a new way to earn a birthday, giving ExtraCare members $3 in a contest to celebrate ExtraBucks Rewards who choose to share information about their birthday. This celebratory gift can be used toward the purchase of any gift from many CVS Pharmacy products during their birthday month.
Additional Details On The Loyalty Program
ExtraBucks rewards will be displayed on the CVS app, CVS.com, digital receipts and paper receipts. Customers can also track their rewards from ExtraCare, including the ExtraCareBeautyClub and ExtraCare Pharmacy & Health Reward programs, and CarePass with Rewards Tracker. The new loyalty program is expected to increase the company's online customer base across all platforms.

New changes to the loyalty program were introduced following a thorough review by CVS Health. The results showed that customers want flexibility in how they earn and use their rewards. Following the evolution of the ExtraCare program, members now have the option to use their rewards on their next trip or extend their rewards for later use, within 90 days of issue.
These updates will be available on the updated CVS app, allowing members to view, track and send their personalized earnings and transactions directly to their ExtraCare card. Beginning in late June, ExtraCare members will also receive a free gift every week in the CVS program throughout the month of July.

Your annual birthday. I was told when I called their office that as of January 1, 2023 they no longer offer birthday rewards. Very frustrating for the customer in the long run! Thanks for sharing, Kathy. I hope they change their minds about this as some of us are used to getting the gift
