I've played Angry Birds and occasionally tried other games, but I've been playing this one for a while now. I love puzzles and this is a puzzle for me. You can definitely get better at using boosters, designs, and potions in each puzzle. Some reviewers frustrate me, but my biggest issue is the constant pop-ups trying to get you to buy something or participate in some extra feature.

Some of us just want to play games. As for spending money on leveling up or buying boosters, here's a note: I'm level 13,407 and I've never, not once, bought anything. I didn't pay a dime for extras like boosters or lives. I was a sign on one level a few months before.
I passed 30 levels the previous day. It never cost me a penny though. I used to be at the point where I would finish a level and have to wait for an update to get a new one, but then the level got harder and I didn't play much and I fell behind again.
Still zero $$ paid. If they had the option to pay a few bucks and see less ads and popups, I'd probably do it. I never write reviews, but this app has frustrated me so much that I feel compelled to! Let me start by saying that the slogan "de-stress" is a big joke.

Let me be honest, this game is really addicting, and to be honest, it was fun at first, now at level 694, almost every board takes days to beat. Some levels are absolutely impossible to beat without using boosters, which the game keeps shoving a "special offer" in your face every 5 seconds, the game is free, there are no ads, they have to make money somehow.

Anyway, I understand. However, eventually every few levels it gets to the point where you have to pay more and more to win. Before you know it, you've spent more than you'd like to admit, and as soon as you start buying something, the algorithm will DELIBERATELY make the board unbeatable without buying, so instead of now being a valued customer, you're not the one, the game will do it all
to overcome your absolutely disgusting addiction to the game and the frustration of being stuck on a level after playing it over and over 80 times. Lesson of the story, if you play this, never give up and buy, or you'll be trapped into being forced to keep buying to keep going.
Better option, just don't play. It's easy to say you won't spend money and then become addicted and almost hypnotized into buying. This game is a pay to win scam, nothing casual about it. This Candy Crush game should be called ads and commercials because that's all.
You can't put the game down unless you buy something the game wants you to buy. I never buy anything, so I have to watch ads and commercials. Hundreds of ads and commercials continuously as long as you want to play the game. I have two iPads so I play Candy Crush on one iPad and other games on the other, otherwise I couldn't stand all those ads and commercials.
