This is a convenient and easy way to pay! The Tim Card is now available at participating Tim Hortons stores in Canada and the United States. Yes, you can use your Tim Card at participating restaurants in both Canada and the US. By registering your Tim Card online, you can access several additional features of the Tim Card program, such as protecting your card balance from loss and theft, topping up your card with a credit card, and viewing your recent account activity.
To register your Tim card, you must first activate it. You can redeem your Tim Card at any participating Tim Hortons restaurant by specifying the amount you want to load onto Tim's card and asking the server to load it. By scraping the skin on the card, you will find a PIN or social security number.
This PIN is an additional security feature and is required to check your balance and register your card on our website. If your card does not have a PIN or the card has already been scraped off, call 1-866-TIMCARD (846-2273). The "Team" card does not have an expiration date, but if the card had a zero balance for two years, it is considered inactive and cannot be used.

Once your card is loaded, you can swipe it to pay for purchases both in restaurants and while driving at participating locations. Each time you use Tim's card, the purchase amount will be deducted from your balance. The new balance is displayed on the reader.
