Stores will remain open until the liquidation sale begins on Wednesday, but what does that mean if you have a 20% off gift card or voucher or are looking for a bargain? After reading about the bankruptcy of Bed Bath & Beyond, Dee Diggs went to the Chelsea store in Brooklyn to spend a gift card her daughter-in-law had given her for Christmas.
It's been in my wallet for a long time, when I heard about it, I said I have to go, Diggs said. Customers have just two weeks to redeem Bed Bath & Beyond and buybuy Baby gift cards. The deadline for using gift cards of any value is May 8.
It may be better to redeem your voucher online as many venues such as the one at Lincoln Center are already closed. The struggling home grocer filed for Chapter 11 over the weekend. "If this goes down, I'm just wasting money on membership benefits," said award member Ryan Supansky.

Supanski paid for memberships at Bed Bath & Beyond and Harmon, a branch that closed earlier this year amid the retail giant's financial woes. The Welcome Rewards program indicates that collected customers will stop being accepted on May 15th. As for the 20% coupons that everyone loves to collect, you have until Tuesday to use them or lose them.

The coupon expires on April 26th, so use up your stock within the next 24 hours because the company won't let you take 20% off the clearance prices that drop as they sell. "If there's something you've been wanting to buy at Bed Bath and Beyond, the coming weeks will be your chance," said shopping expert Kristin McGrath of RetailMeNot.
McGrath said stores are still unclear about what they do with gift data. Your wishlist information on the buybuy Baby and Bed Bath and Beyond websites is safe for now, but purchases will no longer be allowed. "They say they're going to transfer registries to a competing site that has similar products, and those who signed up need to check the site and email for updates," McGrath said.
What is certain, however, is that big discounts are just around the corner - expect 10-20% off initially, then up to 70% and 80% off as stocks drop. While this is good news for shoppers, physical store fans say it's bad news for shoppers overall.
He blames online shopping on Amazon for the downfall of the store. "We're not bringing those stores back and it's basically a monopoly that's putting people out of business," said customer Rose. If you bought something from stores that are closing soon and need to return it, the retailer will accept anything purchased before Wednesday, April 26, until May 24.
