It's the same game that everyone plays every year at their holiday party, whether you're celebrating with family and friends for a family gift exchange or even an office gift. In this game, everyone starts with three small prizes. You roll the dice and the dice determine whether you change, steal, or loose the gifts. This is one of the best trading games I've ever played and my most viral trading game for good reason - it's great!

Ask all your guests to bring a wrapped gift. Print die roll cards and people will want to know what happens to their donations! Here are some great gift exchange gift ideas if someone is in need! 1 - Have everyone sit in a circle with the wrapped gift on their lap.
2 - Give the dice to someone in the circle and tell them to roll the dice and follow the instructions that match the number they roll. For example, if they roll a 6, everyone passes the prize to the right, an 8 is rolled, and everyone passes to the left.

3 - Go around the circle allowing everyone to roll twice (or however many times you choose). In the second round before someone rolls, if they haven't unwrapped their gift yet, wrap it so that all the gifts are unwrapped by the end of the second round.
4 - Your guests will keep the gift in their hands after the dice have been circled as many times as you chose. This type of gift exchange is great because it's so random, you never know what might happen! To print the dice cheat sheet, enter your email and name below to receive a copy of the file.

These games use a set of custom cards designed just for gift exchange. Some cards tell you what to do - others give you specific actions you can use to improve your chances during the game. The game plays like a regular gift exchange with one exception – everyone gets a character card at the start of the game, characters inspired by a Christmas carol.
During the gift exchange, you can use the card to perform a few functions, such as checking a gift before opening it, preventing theft, and thawing a frozen gift! This is a new game we are playing this year and absolutely love it! Get Scrooge Your Neighbor cards and all the rules here.
