The item I wanted to buy was out of stock. The sales rep said the new items will arrive next week, and stores will add them to their inventory. The representative suggested that I come back next week. I asked the rep if I was still able to use my Pier 1 gift card, she said yes until the store finally closes.
Due to the outbreak I had to be quarantined for 14 days because someone at my employer tested positive for the virus. So, finally I visited the store on 7/14/2020 and was told that I can no longer use my Pier 1 gift card that I received as a birthday gift until 7/12/2020.
I explained the unfortunate situation and was told there was nothing they or I could do. My gift card is over $50 and I can no longer use it. This customer service is very dangerous. I have been a loyal customer of Pier 1 for 10 years, and this is the treatment I have received.
This is unfair! Let me use my gift card or pay for my gift card. How can you not honor gift cards when stores have been closed since March and only opened in May/June. We are in the dark of the pandemic and their great uncertainty.

The last problem we need to address is that Pier 1 does not honor gift cards purchased from their store. I can't afford to lose more than $50 due to some ridiculous store policy.. give me my funds back or let me use my gift card right away!
Buying a table, chair and bench the week of 08/20/20. I spent over $1200.00. I was told that if a chair or table was damaged when I opened the box, I would be able to exchange it for another one. When we found a large crack in the seats, we brought them in for an exchange as promised.
Three women at the Greenfield store started yelling at me and told me that even though it was torn, they wouldn't take it back. I told them that this is a law under the Consumer Protection Act and if one gets damaged they have to exchange it.
One of the staff, a dark brown haired girl, started yelling at me. He took the new seat from my hands, shook his shoulder and yelled that I was "[censored]" and it would not be good to get a new seat. These three women were all yelling at my husband and me.
They said take our broken chair and leave and never come back. It was the scariest experience I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I have never spoken like that in my entire life. I trembled. Who treats customers like this? Or anyone for that matter.

I just spent $1200.00 and what am I supposed to do with the broken seat on my dining set? Who are these demons? Why would you fall in love with someone on purpose? Shame on them. Apparently, those women know how to treat customers badly.
Anyone shopping there beware. These women are rude, disrespectful and rude. I would recommend to everyone that you shop at a Brookfield store where customer service is a priority. Share your photos and videos with others to prove your point. This will certainly increase the credibility of your complaint.
