The West Point Alumni Association (WPAOG) is the alumni association and foundation of the United States Military Academy (USMA). Our mission is to serve West Point and the Long Gray Line; Our vision is for Long Gray Line to be the most connected alumni organization in the world.
About 15 percent of the Academy's resources come from private funding each year. Federal dollars fund bachelor of science degrees and commission requirements in the U.S. Army. In addition to core components, WPAOG is seeking private funding for additional development projects. 137 Clubs at West Point is made possible by donors who support Margin of Excellence.
This strong co-ed program includes countless athletic, recreational, academic, religious, recreational and multidisciplinary clubs - something for almost every interest. Academic Advanced Individual Development (AIADs) programs and in-house internships provide cadets with opportunities to conduct research with leaders in organizations related to defense, government, policy, diplomacy, and national security.

50-Year Affiliation Program
With personal support, these unique experiences broaden cadets' perspectives and provide advanced education specialized in their field of study. Over the past 20 years, with donor support, WPAOG has awarded more than 50 gifted buildings valued at more than $250 million. Current renovations include Michie Stadium, Egner Hall, and the Cyber and Engineering Academic Center (CEAC).
Project Day highlights academic achievement, demonstrates critical thinking, embraces professional identity, and showcases exemplary leaders who use their education to shape the future of the Army and the nation. During the project day, the departments present their cadets' personally sponsored projects during the academic year.

After going through Thayer Gate, go to the first stop sign and turn left onto Mills Road. WPAOG is two blocks up the hill to the west of the beautiful and impressive Herbert Alumni Center.
Take the Mid-Hudson Bridge west onto Rt. 9W South. Follow Rt. 9W through South Highland, Marlboro, Newburgh, New Windsor and Cornwall and Storm King Mountain. Exit Rt. 9W at the second West Point exit (the second Rt. 218 exit says "Highland Falls"; you'll go right under the overpass).

Follow the curve at the volume and take the first right onto Mountain Avenue. Follow the stop sign at the end. Turn left on Main Street and follow Thayer Gate. After going through Thayer Gate, take the first stop sign and turn left onto Mills Road.
WPAOG is two blocks up the hill to the west of the beautiful and impressive Herbert Alumni Center. Take Route 17 North to Rt. 6, east to Rt. 293. Take Rt. 293 south to Route 9W. Take the first West Point exit (you will take the right exit; it says "Highland Falls, Rt. 218").
Follow the ramp over the overpass and take the first right onto Mountain Avenue. Follow the stop sign at the end. Turn left on Main Street and follow Thayer Gate. After going through Thayer Gate, take the first stop sign and turn left onto Mills Road.
WPAOG is two blocks up the hill to the west of the beautiful and impressive Herbert Alumni Center. Take the Olympia Trails to Grand Central Station, then take the MTA Subway North Hudson Line east of Hudson to Garrison. Various taxi numbers are posted at the Garrison train station.
