In addition, the B&N Exclusive Edition of the book comes with a poster of Jerboa and a young Jerboa III.[2] The Dangerous Gift is preceded by Jungle Poison and followed by Flames of Hope. Snowfall didn't expect to be the Queen of the IceWings at such a young age, but now that she was, she was going to be the best queen.
All she has to do is keep her tribe in IceWing territory, where it's not safe - while isolating every other tribe, wherever they are. It is a completely simple structure, supported by the Ice Mountain Wall and every bit of IceWing Snowfall magic can accumulate.
Perfect, that is, until a wave of unknown monsters rose from the sea, seeking refuge. Strangers were completely foreign and, Snow was sure, not allowed. But as she banishes new, miserable tribes from her kingdom, the young queen reconsiders her plans. She just might protect her clan...if she's willing to risk it all.
Quote On Back Of Hardcover
Unless it's true, and we're about to have hundreds of visitors to prove it!" The lynx almost danced on its claws. Snow wanted him to throw a stone at her. "If they have great powers, we never thought of it?" "We can't worry about it until it happens," Lynx said.

Yes we can!" Snow cried. "I'm worried about him now!" And here's the Pyrrhia-Pantala AU, with hugs and fears for all the strange monsters. The introduction is a few days after the LeafWings and some of the SilkWings fled from Pantala. Swordtail wakes up and remembers the events of the previous day, including how the two soldiers on the river bank burned the Jungle Poison and how he searched for Cricket while under someone else's control, but he could
not find her. He saw that Blue was sleeping and quickly woke him up, but this thought caught Swordtail's attention again, and he deliberately stopped his attempt to meet his friend. Knowing he can't read his mind, he holds out hope that Cricket and Sundew have found their way to the Far Kingdom and found Luna, and will return to save him and Blue.
Snow heard about a group of dragons flying to her kingdom. She asked the scout to report their sightings when he was sure they were not NightWings and he replied that no black dragons had been seen. She thought about different possibilities, like if Darkstalker hadn't left and if it was a group of RainWings flying towards her.
Part One: Blizzards And Buried Magic
After telling the player to check again, Tundra comes out and informs Snowfall that it is time to reorder the names on the gift order. Snowfall thought about her experiences of being queen and, after what she had lost to get it, it was her least favorite thing in the world.
She said she thought the gift of order was a good thing for the kingdom, but she realized it was more of a twisted revenge than a gift and she hated how she had to move her reputation every night. Snow wears its crown and inspires a few names, such as Hailstorm and Permafrost.

Tundra wonders how she rearranged the names and Snowfall orders her to leave, she wants to continue dealing with the mysterious monsters as soon as possible. She remembers how Tundra and Narwhal were second in command to Glacier and that Tundra refused to bow to her sister.
Snow heard a commotion in the courtyard and realized that someone was watching her. She ordered the dragon to show herself, preparing to use its cold breath on her. Lynx appears from the light beam and Snowfall asks her if she's sorry, wondering when Lynx confirms that she is.
Part Two: Sanctuary And Scavengers
Lynx says she's worried and mentions how the only monsters Snowfall talks about nowadays are "old, bossy and mean". Snowfall brings up how she's been groomed to be queen her whole life and Lynx says she doesn't think she'll be queen for at least two years.
A flashback is then shown with Queen Glacier as she dies of the plague, with Snowfall, Crystal, and Mink by her side. Glacier emphasizes how she doesn't want to campaign like the SandWings and promises her daughters not to challenge each other for the throne and to support whoever they choose to be queen.
After all three did, she appointed Snowfall as the next queen. Crystal left the kingdom the next morning, leaving Snowfall to wonder if she was ready for her. Lynx suggests that Snowfall should rest and she rejects him, saying that her sister will hide to kill her and that the "evil" mysterious monsters may come tomorrow, and they think if Crystal and the monsters of mystery work together, or if Queen Coral and

Glory work together to take her down. Lynx tries to reason with her, asking why anyone would want another war so soon after the SandWing Succession War, but Snowfall remains a nightmare. She then tells Lynx that unknown monsters are coming from the west sea and Lynx realizes that they could be from the lost continent.
Part Two: Sanctuary And Scavengers
She proposes a plan for Snowfall: they will fly to the beach to meet her and find out who they are and what they want to do. Snow reluctantly agrees and decides to go to the Forbidden Treasury to see if an animus gift can help her.
She sees Mink talking to some of her guards as she goes to the booth. She gives Snowfall a gift, a mink carved from a small snowflake, and asks her if she can enter the palace, insisting that she sleeps with her mother when she has trouble sleeping.
Agreeing to her request, Snowfall stressed to the guards that no one was allowed in the room tonight and pushed her bed aside, leaving a hole underneath, which led to the vault. She tells Mink to never tell anyone about it and they watch the area.
Snow saw a small tiara, the gift of strength, and took it, wearing it on her head. When she saw the gift of reconciliation, she saw an opal ring on one of the judges, the carved words say it was a gift of vision. Thinking that this would improve her eyesight, she slipped the ring onto her bone.
