Vanilla Gift Card Replacement
Vanilla Gift Card Replacement - Question: My son bought a $100 Visa gift card for my 81st birthday. Unfortunately, I lost it. I reported this to the card issuer's customer service number, Blackhawk Network, and emailed them the original purchase receipt from Whole Foods, where my son purchased the card.

They opened a case and sent me an email saying they would send me a replacement card within 10 business days. I waited, but the card never came. I called and they said case closed. I insisted. They said they would send me another card.
But she never came. I called to verify my address. Same thing happened again. On the fourth attempt, they said someone would call me back in 48 hours. nothing. The Blackhawk reps were always courteous, but never gave me any information as to why I was having such trouble getting a replacement.
They never make sure to send a card. Of course, they can tell that I haven't activated the original card or the other cards they supposedly sent me. Can you help me? A: If Blackhawk promises a replacement, it should send one as soon as possible.

If your kid gives you another gift card, treat it like cash. I'll speak from my personal experience - I've lost several gift cards my relatives gave me as gifts for the holidays, and I was too embarrassed to tell them they were missing.
I am not a fan of gift cards. They are restricted and can be easily exploited by scammers. It is better for you to use another payment method. The sooner we move to a fully digital currency that supports blockchain technology, the better. But I digress.
The Blackhawk Network website looks like a business website. They are trying to sell other companies on gift card services. But it is not clear if this is a site where customers like you can get help. I have reviewed the correspondence between you and the Company that you initiated using the Contact Us page on the Site.

It is impossible to say what happened. By one estimate, more than $3 billion in gift cards were not used in 2019 and may never be redeemed. This is fine for the company that issued the gift card, but someone like you may have got it wrong.
We also publish the names, numbers, and email addresses of Blackhawk executives on Elliott.org. I've contacted Blackhawk for you. "I just wanted to let you know that the BlackBerry customer service team has verified the debit card shipment with Ms. Hansen," said a representative. ► Are you ready to cancel your flight due to COVID-19 or Delta?
