The link directed you to this review. The location on this page may change on your next visit. I bought this gift card in the US and tried to use it online for an online purchase this year but couldn't use it, went online to check and nothing seems to work.
Since then I have called customer service almost 5 times and each time I had to be on the phone for an hour or more to get through to someone. Spoke to several reps and they told me that this card was hacked and they will take all my information to send me a new card, by the time they got the address over the phone the calls have dropped, this has already happened 3 times
happened I have not used this card and do not know how it was hacked. I tried to contact the controller and since then nothing has happened. I'm still trying, it's very frustrating. We bought a vanilla mastercard gift card over three months ago but have not been able to use it to pay online.

The card was refused even though the staff tried to run it several times and I had money on the table to cover the tip and the rest of the bill. I also gave them the check and the packaging of the card. Did the number on the back of the "gift card" today and checked the balance.
Again, the company claimed it was an invalid number. After running it a second and third time, I had the same result. I waited 30 minutes for customer service and was told that the card was rejected because restaurants do this when the bill is over the card limit.
Then I was told that the card was valid. I asked for a controller. Another 30 minutes later I spoke to "Loria" who claimed to be the manager. They finally agreed to request a refund check for me, but said it would take 3 weeks.

DO NOT BUY THESE GIFT CARDS. Absolutely terrible customer service from start to finish. It all started a month ago when my card was declined. So... I was commissioned to cut it. What I did. And I called vanilla prepaid cards and spent hours on hold.
But I think they just want me to give it up, I definitely won't. I bought a $140 vanilla gift card to use online and everywhere I tried to use it it said I needed a zip code. I went to put the zip code on my card on their website and it said there was a problem with my card.

I called customer support and they were no help at all in unlocking my card. I bought a vanilla gift card before and had no problem putting a zip code on the card on their website and it said you can't add a zip code to the card even though I've done it before.
She said I needed to get a new card which would take 7-10 business days so I requested a refund which she said would take 3 weeks and I needed to send documentation to prove my address. Such a hassle and a waste of time and who knows when I will actually get my money back.
DO NOT BUY A VANILLA GIFT CARD unless you want something to go wrong. I received a $100.00 Visa Vanilla gift card. When I used it, there was only $1.83 left on the card. I sent the paperwork to the dispute and they found that someone had a card that was probably computer generated for the numbers.
2 hours on hold every time I called and 20 emails later. They only sent a replacement card which cost $78.22. I called again and they said I have to wait 48 hours to reload the merchant card. After 2 weeks the balance is still zero.
There was another gift card I received and it also had a 0. There is no merchant receipt as it was a gift so I am still $100.00 short. I would never buy these cards and give them out as gifts. They couldn't even correct my address because of the language barrier with the US.

This card is nothing but a big scam and the customer service is the worst. All other reviews of these cards are accurate. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these cards. I wasn't even going to give it a star, but I had to pick something.
Someone needs to go to court and get them off the shelves. If they ask for a manager, they don't connect you. The phone is dead and no one answers. SHAME ON THIS COMPANY that treats consumers like this. I received my Vanilla Prepaid card in December 2022. The card was not activated on the spot even though I gave the receipt and all the information to Vanilla Prepaid.
I have called CS at least 10 times and keep being told my case is being investigated and I will get back to you in 24-48 hours. No call, no communication. This was the worst customer experience I have ever had. I have had no problems with them in the past until these last 2 days.
I bought a $65 card, paid cash, and when I got home I found out that the clerk who checked me out had canceled my order and still took my money. When I tried to check my balance on the site, I was told that a system error had occurred.
I went back to the store, told the manager, they gave me my money back and I bought another card. It seemed to work when I got it. I put the information on their site and it showed my correct balance. I bought something on Amazon for my mom, checked again and the balance changed accordingly.
