On Halloween night, Rice appeared on "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" to talk about book tours with her son Christopher, the influence of Dracula's daughter on her writing and her addiction to "Game of Thrones." Ferguson commented on the ominous feeling in her writing and the future of Morphenkinder in Chronicles.
She promises "more menace" with "some wolves from Louisiana this time" in volume 3. After Ferguson jokes about building a Harry Potter-style school for young werewolves, Rice notes that Stuart, the young gay teenage wolf from Midwinter's Wolf, “he’s just heading for it” and that in the third book he has “lots of great adventures.

1. Describing Ruben's reaction to learning that Laura had consumed the holy oil, Rice said, “He felt an instant thrill. He wanted her back, but what did he feel? Was he sick? Was he sick with fear? I hated. you" (p.9). What do Reuben's complex emotions reflect about how he feels about change?
