The audience is cursed with a dramatic irony, as they know about Ozan's involvement in the kidnapping, but the characters don't realize it until the right moment. Serder regrets his mistakes, and the season gives him a chance for salvation. Erhan reaches out to Serder to decipher the secret language of the sponsors. Serder goes out to look for Erhan and Atiye's daughter and learns that his son and wife are alive. A pawn in Melek's scheme and driven by his hatred for his father, Ozan is driven to commit apatricide. Aden communicates psychically with Atiye, and following the breadcrumbs left by Serder, Erhan goes to the fortune teller Umut. Following his directions, Erhan and Atiye arrive at Aden's seaside home and discover a world of high technology, while Cansu comes to meet Aden at Ozan's place. The couple arrives a little late, as Mel and Aden have already left the place. But Ozan makes a promise, and the next day, Aden arrives at Atiye's doorstep. He still loves Ozan like a father, and the family has a hard time winning Aden's trust. The world hides a prophecy that sends Erhan and Umut to the historic site of the Saffron Monastery. The ancient secrets of Mesopotamia are waiting to be revealed, and Atiye and Aden embark on their journey to find the tree of life in the ruins of the ancient city of Dara. Ozan confronts his domineering mother with dire consequences. The general evil is revealed, and Atiye's fear is realized. But armed with the knowledge of the past, Atiye chooses to remake the present. The season is marked by a twist, and the event that set the non-linear mystery in motion is reversed. In the first season, Serder wanted to bring Melek back from the dead, which is why he went after Atiye. But as the third season reveals, Mel is connected to an ancient family of patrons, and it seems that he is behind the orchestration of events. The drama returns to the original timeline, and Melek returns to play an important role in the finale. He takes command of the same secret organization that led Serder for the past two seasons. And the penultimate moments reveal that she is the woman responsible for the massacre of Umut's family. Driven by hatred, jealousy, and arrogance, Melek is portrayed as a ruthless antagonist who won't budge before killing his family if that's what it takes to fulfill his desires. Mel is consumed by the dark spots in his heart, and infuses some darkness into Aden's impressionable mind. Aden is increasingly conflicted with mixed signals, and Mel manipulates him into thinking that Erhan and Atiye were the ones who killed Ozan. But Aden's complex mind hides the memories of his ancestors, and Mel is more grounded in reality than ever before. Throughout the season, we see a sequence that torments Aden's mind, an ancient ritual in which his mother sacrifices herself. The end of events brings us back to the historical site of Gobekli Tepe. Aden is escorted by Melek, while Atiye and Erhan follow them. Aden's visionary site becomes a reality in an altar between two T-shaped megaliths. Melek's wish for total collapse becomes a reality on the day the planets align with Sirius and the Sun. Comets hit the ground, and Atiye remembers Aden's vision when he finds a sharp object on the ground. In the ancient past, he has sacrificed his daughter, but the present sees Atiye walking a different path. As Erhan and Atiye come to understand the complementary binaries that lie beneath their gender roles, Aden comes back to consciousness. Thus, the apocalypse has been avoided in this reality. In the penultimate episode, Ozan finally finds his voice to stand up to his mother. For the past two seasons, Ozan has been this volatile and secretive person who is crumbling under self-imposed pressure and trying to live up to the expectations of others. In the end, his character is redeemed by the love of Aden and Cansu. Ozan's final death adds a tragic dimension to the character. We are devastated by his death, we always knew that Ozan was a good person by nature. In the first season, he blames himself for Cansu's death, and eventually helps the police arrest his father. Season Two's stunning finale has Ozan kidnapping Atiye's newborn daughter. After keeping Aden hidden for eight years, Ozani is ordered by his mother to leave Aden with Atiye. He helps Erhan recover stolen maps of the ancient civilization of Mesopotamia, which helps him gain Erhan's trust. Atiye, an optimistic and compassionate humanist, will never give up on Ozani, even if he breaks up his marriage. In the finale, Ozan arrives at the monastery because he senses that Aden's life is in danger. He threatens to shoot his mother, and we see the extent of his love for Aden. But the sly Mel calms her down with charming words before throwing her off the roof. In this reality, he is definitely dead, but the idea of simultaneous realities in the series convinces us that he is alive in other possibilities. In one option, she is happily engaged to Cansu, and in another, they are strangers sharing a glance. Aden adds an eye to Atiye's symbol in place of the diamond. The eye gets tangible representation at the last moment, as it is depicted in the sky above Aden's body. The series explores a mythic world full of symbols and hidden knowledge, and the Eye of Horus adds another layer to the narrative's intricate mythic world. As Erhan points out, the Eye of Horus plays a central role in Egyptian mythology as the omniscient eye of the divine judge. Erhan connects with Aden's power, concluding that Aden's role in the unfolding narrative is nothing more than that of a divine seer. Aden's right eye is yellow and his left eye is blue. According to ancient Egyptian myth, the right eye represents the Sun, and the left, the moon. It seems that the contradictory binaries of sun and moon, man and woman, and good and bad find the perfect balance in Aden's divine child figure, the girl destined to open the door to new life. If we look further, we will see that a scholar named Rolf Krauss believes that the eye originally represented the transition of Venus from morning to evening, and if you will remember, Atiye and Aden are descendants of the lineage of the goddess Venus. So the eye as a symbol has multiple connotations in the story. From the beginning, we feel that the story goes beyond the immediate lives of the characters. The following seasons restore our faith. In season one and two, Serder receives orders from a secret organization he knows nothing about. The secret organization speaks a secret language, and there are several levels. In the final season, Mel receives orders from the same organization. They apparently communicate on coded frequencies. In the empty basement compartment of Aden's seaside retreat, Erhan discovers a levitating balloon. We see a symbol of a circular snake eating its tail. The symbol known as the Ouroboros appears in many classical myths and represents the cycle of life and death. We find the same symbol in the key to Umut's ancestral home, where Erhan and Atiye encounter similar displays of frequency transmission. The secret organization seems to have incredible power, and they are the ones trying to harness Atiye's and then Aden's supernatural powers. The world appears to be alien technology, and based on the theory that the aliens were in contact with primitive humans, we believe that the scope of the organization goes beyond the realm of Earth. Perhaps an alien connection is involved, but unfortunately there isn't much to prove the theory. In the second season, we will see a sinister world where pregnant women are being killed. The narration apparently takes us back to the first season timeline where Cansu is Cansu and not Elif, we don't know the end of the other world. However, one thing is for sure - Melek will be traveling to this world at the end of the second season. Ozane, in this timeline, is shocked to see his dead mother return, which means that Serder will finally be able to resurrect his dead wife. The cost he has to pay, however, is high. On another note, we remember that Atiye returned to the other world towards the end of the previous season, but this season, he is back with Erhan. This story progression doesn't add up, and reveals a huge plot hole. However, following Atiye's theory of simultaneous realities, it is very possible that the doomed world still exists.
