The Gift Netflix Symbol Meaning - Breaking language barriers through its International Originals division, Netflix has delivered another amazing show in the form of 'The Gift'. The Turkish show is a supernatural drama that tells the story of a woman whose life changes after an archaeological discovery. In eight episodes, it goes through many twists and turns, delves into the stories and mythology of the Middle East, and ends the show on a very confusing note.

If you haven't seen it yet, go to Netflix. Spoilers ahead, Atie is an artist. She has a normal family and a great boyfriend. Everything is beautiful. Appearance-wise, that is. He suffers from nightmares and headaches, but these things have always been there. He learned to ignore them and move on;

Until he comes across a news article about an archaeological dig. The symbol was first discovered at the site of Gobekli Tepe. No one has been there, at least not in the last ten thousand years. No one has seen it before, except Atiye. He dreamed and painted about it all his life.

So when he discovers that it has appeared elsewhere, he runs to find out how it relates to his dreams and life. While we're saddened by this ending, there's one more thing we ask ourselves as we watch "The Gift." Why is Atie's future father-in-law so interested in her?

Plot Summary

He actually says at one point that he "can't lose her either," which his son just said! And then it's "What the hell!" The moment he starts talking to the TV screen. what's up with this guy Season 1 doesn't make it easy, but we have a theory.

Gobekli in Tefe is a door that a mysterious person wants. My guess is that the door opens to an alternate world where this person lives. He or she has no way to access it, but they know that Atie and her grandmother have the ability to find and open it.

Also, this person is from the alternate world and wants to move to that world. (More on that later.) Somehow they found a way to communicate with the people on the other side. They hire Seder to do their work. As Seder is aware of Atye's power, he forces his son to win her over.

The plan is to marry Ozan and once he is part of the family they can use him for their own purposes. Exactly how much was said at the seder is unknown. He is clearly just a pawn in the game. It is also very easily possible that the chief of customs is actually himself in another reality.

Why Is Seder After Atiye?

But this is just an extrapolation. After coming to terms with his inheritance and accepting his gift, Atiyeh joins Erhan in his search for a door that will help him get Kansu back. Serder already knows where they're going, and that's actually what Atie wants for him.

But he doesn't know where the door is and thinks that Erhan's father wrote about the location from the lost pages of the journal. He sends Hanna to fetch them, among whom Atye manages to escape. He follows Seher into the cave and finds himself in the middle of it, where Kansu is waiting for him.

They hug where Atie says she wants him back. And it happens. In the final scene, Atie finds her and Kansu outside the cave, but Kansu identifies herself as Elif and tells her that Atie mistook her for someone else. Confused, Atie walks out and sees a symbol painted on the wall in front of her.

what happened there The simplest explanation is that Atie moved to a parallel world. No, I'm not suggesting this just because I've seen the same thing on dozens of other shows. In one of the episodes, Atie's grandmother mentions the confluence point of the worlds where they collide.

The Ending

Although it's in the past, it's not something we can leave out when considering this confusing ending. Also, everyone was talking about the "door". The door has to open somewhere. To sum it all up, here's what the whole show looks like. Deep in this cave is a door to an alternate world.

It was sealed thousands of years ago. Hence the beeswax and other precautions. No one knows about it, so even after digging in the ground for so many years, they don't know exactly what they're looking for. This is where Seder comes in. Those working the seder want to transition, but don't know how to do it.

So they want the Seder to find the door as well as the person who can open it. Atie inherited the gift, but he misunderstood when he was told that he could bring Kansu back. He believed that the door was the link between life and death.

He thought his power was resurrection, and with the repeated references the show makes to snakes, resurrection, and usoboros, we've been tricked into thinking the same. (And to be honest, I still have my doubts about what Curry is really up to, so who knows!) Other than that, the story leans more towards the supernatural tone than sci-fi, so resurrection could be a thing.

A Great Attention On Atiye – The Gift Turkish Netflix Original

Another possibility we can play with is timing. Erhan's father writes in the letter that time is not as linear as they thought. Atiye's grandmother knew what would happen twenty-two years later and how Atiye and Erhan would meet to solve the puzzle. They even knew about Kansu's death and the man literally turned the date into a password!

So yes, time really does go in circles. In this case, Atie's power may be to turn back time; Hence the resurrection of the dead. Let's take this a step further. How far back in time can he go? The mysterious red-haired lady tells Atie that what she thinks opens up the possibility of a completely different reality.

How far-reaching are the consequences when Atie considers going back in time and bringing Kansu back to life? Could it have accidentally changed too much? Could it be that he changed the fate of Erhan's parents, why Kansu is now an elf? It would be a good theory if we leave out a minor but very important detail.

When Atie agrees to take her sister back, we see the entire dig site disappear into thin air. Even if Atie could change time enough, he couldn't change back ten thousand years. This would mean rewriting the entire history of mankind! So yes, for sanity's sake, we rule out that possibility.
