The Gift Movie Explained
The Gift Movie Explained - Bridging the language barrier through its International Originals division, Netflix has delivered another great show in the form of The Gift. The Turkish show is a supernatural drama about a woman whose life is changed after an archaeological discovery. Over the course of eight episodes, it delves into Middle Eastern folklore and mythology, goes through a series of twists and turns, and ends the show on a very confusing note.

The Gift Movie Explained
If you haven't seen it yet, go to Netflix. SPOILERS ATIe is an artist. She has a normal family and a perfect boyfriend. Everything is great. From the outside, that is. He had nightmares and headaches, but these things happened all the time. He learned to ignore them and move on;
until he saw a newspaper article about an archaeological dig. The symbol was first found at the site of Gobekli Tepe. No one had been there, at least not in the past ten thousand years. No one but Atie had ever seen it before. He dreamed and painted about it all his life.
So when she learns that he has appeared elsewhere, she runs into him to find out how it relates to his dreams and life. While this ending may surprise us, there is something else we can ask ourselves while watching The Gift. Why is Aty's future father-in-law so interested in him?
Plot Summary
He actually says at one point, "I can't lose him either," in response to what his son said! And "what the hell!" when he started talking to the TV screen. What's going on with this guy? The first season is not easy for us, but we have a theory.

Gobekli Tepe has a door wanted by a mysterious person. I think it opens the door to another world in which man lives. He or she doesn't have the means to get it, but they know that Atie and her grandmother are capable of finding it and unlocking it.
Also, this person wants to move from that alternate world to this world. (More on that later.) Somehow they found a way to connect with people on the other side. They hire Seder to do their job. Knowing of Atie's power, Seder forces his son to defeat him.
The plan is to marry Ozan and once he becomes part of the family, they can use him for their own purposes. It is not known exactly how many were said at the Seder. He is clearly just a pawn in the game. Also, the leader of the Seder can be himself in another reality.
Why Is Seder After Atiye?
But that would be just an extrapolation. After coming to terms with her heritage and accepting his gift, Atie joins Erhan in his search for a door that will help bring Kansu back. Serder already knows where they are going and actually wants Atiyeh for it.
However, he does not know where the door is and believes that Erhan's father wrote about the location on the missing pages. He sends Hanna to get them, and Atie manages to escape between them. He follows Seher to the cave and finds himself in the middle of the cave where Kansu is waiting for him.

They hug and Atie says she will bring him back. And he will. In the final scene, Atie finds her and Kansu outside the cave, but Kansu introduces herself as Elif and says that Atie mistook her for someone else. Desperate, Atiye sees a symbol painted on the wall in front of him.
What happened there? The simplest explanation is that Atie went to a parallel world. No, I'm not recommending the same thing just because I've seen it on dozens of other shows. In one of the episodes, Atie's grandmother mentions a place where worlds meet and collide.
The Ending
While this may be in passing, it's not something we can ignore when discussing this surprising ending. Also, everyone was talking about "doors". The door has to open somewhere. To sum it up, here's how the whole show looks like. At the bottom of that cave is a door to another world.
Thousands of years ago it was closed. So, bee and other measures. Nobody knows about it, so even when they dig for so many years they don't know exactly what they are looking for. Here comes the Seder. Whoever works for the Seder wants to pass, but does not know how to do it.
That's why they want Seder to find a door and someone to open it. Atie inherited the gift, but when she was told to return it to Kansa, she didn't understand. He thought the door was the link between life and death. He thought his power was resurrection, and with the show's repeated references to snakes, resurrections, and seas, we were fooled as well.

Honestly, I'm still skeptical about what the door will actually do, so who knows!) Also, the story leans more towards the supernatural than sci-fi, so resurrection could be the case. thing. Another factor we can play with is timing. Erkhan's father wrote in the letter that time is not linear as they think.
Where To Watch?
Atie's grandmother knew what would happen twenty-two years later and how Atie and Erhan would meet to solve the mystery. They even knew about Kansu's death, and the man actually coded the date! Yes, time definitely flies in circles. In this case, Atie's power may be to turn back time;
So, raising the dead. Let's go one step further. How far back can one go? A mysterious red-haired lady tells Atia that whatever she thinks about will lead to a completely different reality. When Atiye decides to go back in time and revive Kansa, what are the consequences?
Maybe he's changed too much without realizing it? Maybe he changed the fate of Erhan's parents, so now he is Kansu Elif? That would be a valid theory, if we leave out a few but very important details. When Atie agrees to take her sister back, we see that the entire dig is gone.
Even if Atie could change time enough, she couldn't change it back ten thousand years. This means rewriting the entire history of mankind! Well, for the sake of our sanity, we rule out that possibility. No one should have that kind of power over time.
