The Gift Chronicles Ares
He developed a love of violence that surpassed that of any other Olympian, making him the perfect candidate for the god of war. He became unpopular with his fellow gods who despised him for his great love of war without seeing any reason for it.
However, it was probably because of his parents that he was placed on the Olympic Council. As the god of war, Ares often engaged in physical combat, but he often lost in divine combat. He gives power to whichever side he wants, but he is short-tempered and known to switch sides in the middle of a battle.
Ares' blessing is known to grant invincibility in battle. Despite his great strength and fighting skills, Ares is often injured in battles with other magical enemies. It appears that his older brother Hercules challenged him to a second battle. Sometimes he disarms Ares and sometimes he defeats Ares and one of his sons with the help of Athena.
Olympian Murder Trial
The Alodai giants (Otis and Iphiltes) defeat Ares and imprison him in a sealed bronze vessel. During the Trojan War, Ares sided with the Trojans, promising Hera that he would help the Greeks. For his actions, he is wounded by the mortal hero Diomedes, aided by Athena.

After Zeus allowed the Olympians to freely participate in battle, he challenged Athena, was again defeated by her, and forced to flee the battlefield. Apollo defeated him in a wrestling match at the first Olympic Games. Ares fled in fear from the giant Typhon when the monster first attacked Olympus, while the other Olympians (including Zeus) did as well.
Although Ares was the god of war, some say that he annoyed the gods with his loud voice when he lost. Despite these difficulties, Ares fought bravely at Gigantomachi and successfully defended Olympus against other enemies. After Halirotheus (son of Poseidon) tries to seduce Ares' daughter Alsipe, he calls his father for help.
Suddenly the angry god of war came and killed Halirotheus very badly. An enraged Poseidon demands that Ares be tried for killing his son, and Zeus agrees. The first Olympic murder trial was held on the Areopagus Hill in Athens. Zeus, the god of honor and justice, was the chief judge, and ten other Olympians served as members of the jury.

In the end, Zeus freed Ares, though he protected his daughter's honor. To Ares' anger, Zeus arranged for his other son Hephaestus to marry the beautiful goddess Aphrodite. Aphrodite is having trouble with her marriage. This led to Ares and Aphrodite having several lovers. Ares and Aphrodite meet often and do whatever they want.
Hephaestus discovered his wife's adultery through the Sun Titan Helios. One day when they were lying in bed together, Hephaestus entwined an unbreakable gold chain between the small invisible webs and it stung them. He first called Herme, and asked him to send a message to all the gods.

However, Zeus and Hermes are seen laughing long and hard by the other gods, Apollo laughing at Aphrodite's Ares and Athena. However, in the end, Poseidon assured Hephaestus that Ares would pay the adulteress wages for her crimes if he let them go. King Sisyphus "Sissy" of Corinth, unwilling to die, managed to cheat death by binding Thanatos with heavy chains and placing the latter under his royal bed.
As a result, along with death in prison, the dead could not die, much to the dismay of Ares, who enjoyed destroying the army. As a result, the god of war quickly finds Thanatos and frees him, and then the two gods destroy Sisyphus. During the winter, Luke Castellan stole the Master Bolt and the Helm of Darkness.
Relationship With Aphrodite
Ares captures him, but Luke convinces him to do Crones' bidding. Ares let Luke go and took care of the helm and bolts until Percy arrived to finish the delivery. On June 14th, seven days before the summer solstice deadline, Ares drove up to Percy Jackson, Grover Underwood, and Annabeth Chase in his car while they were trying to eat.
He paid for their food (to the horror of many customers and employees at work) and then picked it up for friends. From driving the Tunnel of Love through an abandoned wetland in his armor (in armor form). In return, he asked them to board the animal smugglers' cars to Los Angeles.
This time, he also gave Percy a wallet with $20 in it, a bag of gold drachmas, new clothes for the three of them, and a box of double-stuffed Oreos. However, this briefcase is actually the coil that has been replaced by a large lightning bolt, conjured by Ares in which the Master Bolt appears when Percy approaches Hades.

After Percy, Grover, and Annabeth escape from the Underworld using a pearl given to Percy by a Nereid, Ares is waiting to kill them on the beach. Ares revealed the basis of his plan; Poseidon will declare war on Hades to kill Percy, Zeus will declare war on Hades to get the Master Bolt, and Hades will attack them both, thinking that the other both has the Dark Helm.
The Lightning Thief
He then says that a war between his clan is the best kind of war while Annabeth protests 'But they're your clan!' He inadvertently revealed that Cronus was controlling him in his dreams. He tried to kill Percy with a giant boar, but Percy cut off one of his claws with a riptide and was engulfed in a wave, killing him instantly.
He then challenges Ares to a duel - if Ares wins, he will turn Percy into whatever he wants and have the Master Bolt; If Percy wins, he's got the bullet and control and Ares is gone. In the end, Percy wins the duel when he stabs Ares in the ankle;
Ares became enraged and tried to attack Percy again, but Kronos stopped him. Before Ares leaves, he warns Percy that he made a mistake by making the God of War his enemy. He then curses Percy so that his weapon falls to him when he needs it, before leaving.
When they return to Olympus and explain who stole the item, Zeus says "It's not like Ares", while Poseidon disagrees and says "It's more like him". Ares is seen talking to his daughter Clarisse La Rue in the ironclad CSS Birmingham. He orders his daughter not to give up on the search (and threatens her to do the same to him) and moves Percy Jackson and his friends out of the way and lifts him up.
