The Relay Children's Health app provides resources to help make your visit easier. Send a friend or family member a special greeting hand delivered by one of our volunteers. IU Health in Indianapolis has three handicap accessible parking garages near Riley Hospital for Children. These include: ATM machines in the Simon Family Tower lobby near the shopping center, in the Simon Family Tower beyond the red elevator, and in the Riley Outpatient Center near the gift shop.

All children's centers have regular visiting hours from 8 am to 9 pm except in the intensive care unit.
All visitors must stop by the nurse's station prior to visiting for final clearance and proper instructions. Two guests per hour is the maximum number of non-immediate family guests. Nursing permission is required to extend visiting hours. Visitors under the age of 18 are not allowed in hospital lobbies and lounges and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Riley Children's Health App
Younger guests including brothers and sisters must be arranged in advance. Parents fill out a health screen questionnaire provided by the information desk or emergency reception staff. To visit the nursing facility, young visitors must not have had chicken pox, whooping cough or measles in the past 22 days.
They should not have colds, diarrhea, cough, fever, sore throat, rashes, runny nose or vomiting. If the results of the health screen are satisfactory, the completed questionnaire is taken to the nursing station for approval at the last visit to the nursing unit. Parents, close family members or guardians are welcome to sleep in the patient's room.
Some parents can visit 24 hours a day. Most units have chair beds next to the bed. Blankets and pillows are available. If you are staying overnight with your child, you must wear the Riley Hospital for Children IU Health Family Pass. Parents cannot sit by the bedside in the intensive care unit.

If your child is in the intensive care unit, there are limited beds available in the Pediatric Intensive Unit's parent lounge. Visits at safe times must be approved by nursing staff. Special visitor badges can be obtained at the information desk or emergency access office.
Send A Patient Postcard
If I am sick, can I make a patient visit at Riley at IU Health? You should not visit a patient if you are sick, especially if you have a sore throat, cold or flu. Riley at IU Health is a smoke-free campus. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the premises of Riley Hospital for Children or Indiana University Health.
Except for Indiana University Health Security Officers and law enforcement officers on duty, no person may carry or possess a weapon or firearm on any of our grounds or facilities. Law enforcement officers must check with IU Health Security if they plan to carry a weapon while on our premises.
