I love vegan backpacks, and I found a cute bag with this unique design. I brought the bag home and people stopped me on the street in America to tell me how much they loved it. I found myself once again traveling in Sumatra working on a documentary about natural medicine and healing.
The other day, I stumbled upon the designs you see on Banda Bags now. I had to find out where they came from, so I traveled to the countryside and met the women who created these unique products. These artisans have a unique handmade design and I was blown away by their craftsmanship.
I immediately realized that I had started collaborating with these women who seemed to create these designs like magic. My search for these magical and unique images brought me to a village in the Banda Aceh region of Sumatra. Yero is the one who is the one who is the one who is the one who is interested.

Traveling Sumatra, Running Into A Unique Design
The earthquake that shook this area shook the ground by its edges, literally. The subsequent Tsunami caused great damage in the region, and more than two hundred thousand people died. I came after this disaster, and ten years after it happened. Looking back, I can only imagine what happened a week ago.
I can't believe that this is where these beautiful cosmetics were born. The idea came to me one day that I could bring this unique product to the world, and help these women who have been stuck in a situation that has not gotten better for years.
This remote place has very little to revive their economy, but they have something that I know the world will appreciate. We worked together to create a cruelty-free vegan bag that can be enjoyed on the runway and at the check-in line. The weekend bag was born.
Shortly after the design week, we released the Nano. It's a vegan leather bag that really makes a statement. Then, we designed a vegan backpack that everyone can wear. This vegan backpack is stylish and just the right size to carry all your essentials. The bullet bag is a unique design that we came up with, because we haven't seen anything like it.

A Second Run-In
Nothing like it yet. Our vegan bags take the usual shapes, but the design is completely different. We tinker and toy with new ideas all the time, and we want to be one of the most innovative vegan and cruelty-free bag companies in the world.
Banda Bag helped improve economic opportunities for tsunami victims. When I started Banda Bags I made it a company base to pay fair wages and ensure the safety and well-being of the artisans. Also, I love the durable and cruelty-free bag. Weekend bags and all our models are made from the highest quality vegan leather.
Banda bags do not use animal products of any kind, making our bags 100% vegan friendly. Our vegan leather bags are made from selected materials that we strive to constantly improve. We are currently looking at ways to make the bags more environmentally sustainable. This means producing products with the maximum amount of recycled content and looking for new products to produce.
There are a variety of cool products that could one day replace the vegan skin we use today. We are talking about products made from all natural sources, including pineapple. We're even looking at ways to make yarn out of plastic from the ocean! I was right in thinking that people would like the unique design I found in Indonesia.
