Follow these simple instructions on how to make your own fabric drawstring bag. A gift bag should be made within an hour. Two pieces of fabric are needed for each bag. We recommend using cotton (or other easy-to-wash fabric) so that it can be easily washed if necessary.

Cut two pieces of fabric for each bag. For a larger bag, cut two 12 x 18-inch pieces. For a smaller bag, cut two pieces measuring 7 1/2 x 11 inches. If necessary, fold the short side up 1/4 inch on both pieces of iron fabric.
