Where Does The Bible Say, “Stir Up The Gift Of God?”
Because it is in our hands to extinguish this soul and to set it on fire. The "gift of God" here spoken of is the special gift of the Spirit which was given to Timothy at the time of his ordination, and which, in his case, contained the necessary powers for the performance of the many and important duties under his charge.
God speaks of leadership and teaching gifts, especially for the office of high priest. This "gift of God" was given by laying hands on Timothy's head at the Lystra meeting. In this action the apostle was joined by the presbytery of Lystra. (See 1 Timothy 4:14.) We know that St. Paul often used scenes of the Christian life known to the Greek Gentiles of the Old World, such as Greek sports.

Could not the apostle here instruct Timothy to watch that the holy fire of the Holy Spirit does not burn in his heart (Wordsworth's suggestion), to watch the flame, to keep it burning brightly. If it burns dimly, taste the flame—Could it not be that St. Paul was recalling the triumphant phrase of the Roman law, "Let them see the eternal flame of the public hearth"?

What Is “The Gift Of God” In 2 Timothy 1:6-7?
You've probably heard people talk about the gifts God has given us, but can we increase those gifts? What does it mean to "stimulate the gift of God" and how can we do it today? The King James Bible translation of 2 Timothy 1:6 has the words "to stir up the gift of God": "Therefore I remind you that you stir up the gift of God with my hands."
Paul wrote this letter to Timothy. The apostle was in prison when this letter was written (The KJV Study Bible, Barbour Publishing, 2011). Paul is awaiting execution, so he writes this letter urgently. This is Paul's second letter to Timothy, his mentor. Paul met Timothy on his second missionary journey (Acts 16:1-3), and Timothy was a Christian at that time.
Acts 16 tells us that Timothy was the son of a Jewish woman and a Greek father. His father did not believe, but his mother and grandmother did, a legacy Paul urges Timothy to remember (1 Timothy 1:1-5). In 2 Timothy, Paul instructs Timothy to lead the church.

Paul warns Timothy to stir up the gift of God in you. He says he signed Timothy. He exhorts Timothy not to be timid or timid, but to serve in strength, love, and sound mind. The gift of God that Paul is talking about is Timothy, on whom Paul laid his hands (2 Timothy 1:6).

No need to be jealous of anyone. I pray that God will help you to awaken the talent within you. There are spiritual gifts, there are natural gifts. When I think of spiritual gifts, these scriptures come to mind: Romans 12:6-8, 1 Corinthians 12:8-10, and 1 Peter 4:11.
Romans 12 speaks of having many members in one body. The record says we don't have one office. The gifts listed in this chapter are prophecy, service, teaching, preaching, giving, leadership, and mercy. Prophecy is when someone declares what God has said. The scope of the ministry is wide.
This can be in the church or outside of the church. If you serve in any capacity, it is ministry. Teaching can be in the church, outside of the church, or in the classroom. Some classroom teachers were invited to teach. Preaching is the gift of sound counsel based on the Scriptures.
