However, the passenger spend for my Spirit flight from Orlando to Louisville was only $2.99 when I booked it on Spirit's website. When you arrive at the gate, the checked baggage fee is the same as the carry-on fee. All Spirit passengers may carry one personal item, such as a purse or carry-on bag, no larger than 18 inches by 14 inches by 8 inches at no additional charge.
